Full job description

The hours for this position are: 4:00 am – 1:30 pm IST Duties & Responsibilities:

Participate in evolving projects aligned with company goals.
Participate in the development of schedules, priorities, and determination of timelines and resources.
Help all departments in assuring that the highest level of customer satisfaction is maintained at all times.
Maintain the highest level of integrity and professionalism in the system administration department.
Interface and work effectively and proactively with all cross-functional groups including Engineering, Categorize, prioritize and resolve software application issues.
Coordinate the necessary development and infrastructure operations resources to solve application performance security, and stability issues.
Troubleshoot and diagnose hardware problems.
Assist in the configuration/build-out of new deployments.
Storage management and optimization of both Internal and hosted ASP infrastructures.
Work actively with the team in identifying system optimizations and new technologies and products to improve the overall performance, efficiency, and resiliency of the infrastructure.
QA and Services Teams.

Experience/Skills:

Demonstrated history of self-reliance
5- 10 years’ experience as a System Administrator in a Windows environment
Expert–level knowledge of networking and SAN and NAS technologies required.
Solid knowledge of Windows Server 2008 R2, 2012 R2 and 2019, and Exchange Server 2013 or higher required
Solid knowledge of Windows File and SQL Clustering technologies.
Solid knowledge of Hyper-V 2012 R2 – 2019.
Experience or exposure to Linux and cloud technologies preferably Amazon Web Services.
Cisco CCNA network certification or equivalent preferred
MCTS, MCTP certification or progress toward them preferred
SQL Server 2008 R2, 2012, 2017 and 2019 experience a plus
Experience or exposure to configuring and troubleshooting Citrix and RDS 2012 – 2019 preferred
Experience in financial (preferably securities industry) a strongly desired plus excellent verbal and communication skills
Knowledge of FIX protocol is desirable but not essential
Demonstrated history as a “Jack of all trades” in technical infrastructure
Strong command of spoken and written English. The position involves extensive interaction with teams in London and New York and good communication skills are a prerequisite.

Qualifications: This position requires candidates with exceptional technical, analytical and communication skills and provides ample opportunity for growth. Must be interested in joining the preeminent research and development team in the industry and working on cutting-edge technologies. Bachelor’s degree in a scientific major is required.
