Full job description

1. Job Purpose To manage the end-to-end recruitment process for SAGE University Indore by sourcing, screening, coordinating and facilitating the selection of suitable candidates for Teaching, Non-Teaching, Administrative and Support positions, while ensuring timely fulfilment of manpower requirements and maintaining a strong candidate pipeline.

2. Key Responsibilities

A. Recruitment Planning Understand manpower requirements received from HODs/HOIs and respective departments. Prepare recruitment plans based on approved vacancies and manpower requirements. Prioritize critical and long-pending vacancies. Maintain an updated Recruitment Tracker / Vacancy Tracker.

B. Candidate Sourcing Source candidates through LinkedIn, Naukri, job portals, employee referrals, recruitment databases, social media and other relevant channels. Develop and maintain a database of qualified faculty and staff candidates. Proactively search for candidates for difficult-to-fill academic and technical positions. Build a continuous talent pipeline for frequently required positions.

C. Resume Screening & Shortlisting Screen CVs against approved Job Descriptions and eligibility criteria. Verify educational qualifications, experience, specialization and other position-specific requirements. Shortlist suitable candidates and maintain accurate resume records. Conduct initial telephonic screening to assess candidate suitability, availability, salary expectations and interest.

D. Interview Coordination Contact shortlisted candidates and confirm their availability. Schedule interviews with HR, HOD/HOI and other competent authorities as per the University's recruitment process. Coordinate interview drives, walk-in interviews and virtual interviews. Ensure candidates receive proper information regarding interview date, time, venue and required documents. Maintain an updated Interview Tracker and interview status.

E. Candidate Follow-up Maintain regular communication with shortlisted candidates throughout the recruitment cycle. Follow up with candidates after interviews regarding their interest and joining availability. Maintain a database of selected, rejected, on-hold and withdrawn candidates. Minimize candidate drop-outs through timely and professional follow-up.

F. Selection & Offer Coordination Coordinate with HR Head and concerned authorities regarding final selection. Collect and verify required candidate documents. Coordinate offer/appointment documentation as per approved process. Maintain joining commitments and follow up until the candidate joins.

G. Recruitment MIS & Reporting Prepare and submit regular recruitment reports covering: Total vacancies New vacancies received CVs received CVs shortlisted Candidates contacted Interviews scheduled Interviews conducted Candidates selected Offers released Candidates joined Candidates declined/withdrawn Vacancy ageing Source-wise recruitment performance Position-wise recruitment status H. Recruitment Targets The Recruiter shall work towards achieving: Timely closure of approved vacancies Maximum qualified CV sourcing against every vacancy Improved interview-to-selection ratio Improved offer-to-joining ratio Reduction in vacancy ageing Reduction in candidate drop-outs Development of a strong candidate database Continuous pipeline for critical academic positions

I. Employer Branding & Recruitment Outreach Support HR in promoting SAGE University as an employer of choice. Coordinate recruitment campaigns and hiring drives. Support LinkedIn and other digital recruitment initiatives. Develop relationships with professional networks, academic communities and relevant institutions for 4.

4. Required Qualification Minimum: Bachelor's Degree in any discipline. Preferred: MBA/PGDM in HR, Master's Degree in HR or a related discipline. 5. Experience 2–5 years of relevant experience in recruitment / talent acquisition. Experience in higher education recruitment, faculty recruitment or institutional hiring will be preferred. Candidates having experience in bulk recruitment and recruitment drives will be given preference. 6. Required Skills Strong verbal and written communication skills Excellent candidate sourcing skills Resume screening and interviewing skills Strong follow-up and coordination ability Knowledge of LinkedIn and major job portals Good knowledge of MS Excel / Google Sheets Ability to maintain recruitment MIS and trackers Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills Ability to work with multiple departments simultaneously Target-oriented and result-driven approach Good understanding of recruitment confidentiality and professional ethics 7. Authority & Accountability The Recruiter shall be responsible for the complete recruitment coordination cycle from vacancy requirement to candidate joining, while final selection and approval shall remain with the designated competent authorities of SAGE University Indore. 9. Daily Recruitment Activities Review open vacancies. Check new CVs and applications. Source candidates for priority vacancies. Screen and shortlist CVs. Contact candidates telephonically. Schedule interviews. Follow up with interview candidates. Update Recruitment/Interview Tracker. Coordinate with HODs/HOIs and HR team. Submit recruitment status/MIS as required.
