Position Overview
We are seeking a data-driven, creative, and strategically minded Marketing Analyst to join our internal team at a growing tax and accounting firm. This role is responsible for planning, executing, and analyzing marketing initiatives that drive brand awareness, generate qualified leads, and support the firm's client acquisition and retention goals.
This is not a generic marketing role — you will be embedded in a professional services environment where trust, credibility, and education-based marketing are the primary drivers of growth. You will work directly with firm leadership to build and optimize campaigns across digital channels, manage the firm's content and social presence, analyze performance data, and help the firm stand out in a competitive market.
The ideal candidate is analytical by nature, comfortable with data, and capable of turning insights into action. They understand how to market professional services to business owners, understand the value of SEO and paid media, and are excited about leveraging AI tools to work smarter and faster.
This is a fully remote position requiring strong communication skills, self-direction, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities
1. Campaign Management & Execution
- Plan, launch, and manage digital marketing campaigns across Google Ads, Meta (Facebook/Instagram), LinkedIn, and other relevant platforms
- Manage the firm's Google Business Profile and local SEO presence to drive inbound leads from target markets
- Execute email marketing campaigns, including newsletters, lead nurture sequences, and client re-engagement campaigns
- Coordinate paid and organic campaigns aligned to firm service offerings (tax planning, bookkeeping, advisory)
- Support seasonal campaign planning around key tax deadlines (Q1 tax season, quarterly estimates, year-end planning)
2. Content Strategy & Creation
- Develop and manage a content calendar across social media, email, blog, and video channels
- Write or assist in writing short-form and long-form content including social posts, email copy, blog articles, and ad creative
- Support the firm principal's personal brand and short-form video content strategy — including scripting, editing support, and scheduling
- Repurpose content across platforms to maximize reach and efficiency
- Ensure all content reflects the firm's brand voice — professional, direct, and educational — targeting high-income earners and business owners
3. Analytics & Performance Reporting
- Track, measure, and report on KPIs across all marketing channels, including impressions, clicks, CTR, cost per lead, conversion rate, and ROI
- Build and maintain marketing dashboards using tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and ad platform reporting
- Conduct A/B testing on ad creative, landing pages, email subject lines, and CTAs to improve conversion rates
- Analyze competitor marketing strategies and identify opportunities for differentiation
- Provide weekly and monthly performance reports with actionable recommendations to leadership
4. SEO & Website Management
- Manage and improve the firm's website SEO — including keyword research, on-page optimization, meta descriptions, internal linking, and technical SEO audits
- Monitor website traffic, rankings, and lead generation performance via Google Analytics and Search Console
- Collaborate with leadership to update website content, landing pages, and service pages for improved conversion
- Identify and pursue link-building and local citation opportunities to strengthen domain authority
- Ensure the firm's website reflects current service offerings, pricing philosophy, and brand positioning
5. Lead Generation & CRM Support
- Build and manage lead generation funnels — from ad click to consultation booking
- Maintain and update the firm's CRM with lead source data, campaign attribution, and pipeline tracking
- Coordinate with the executive assistant and operations team to ensure smooth handoff from marketing lead to sales conversation
- Design and optimize lead magnets, landing pages, and intake forms to improve lead quality
- Track and report on lead volume, lead quality, and cost per acquisition by channel
6. Brand Management & Design Coordination
- Maintain brand consistency across all marketing assets, platforms, and communications
- Create or coordinate creation of marketing collateral — including social graphics, email templates, presentations, and one-pagers
- Manage relationships with freelance designers, video editors, or content creators as needed
- Ensure all client-facing and public-facing materials align with the firm's visual identity and brand standards
Qualifications
Required
- 2+ years of experience in a marketing, digital marketing, or marketing analyst role
- Proficiency in Google Ads and/or Meta Ads Manager (paid search and social)

- Strong analytical skills — comfortable interpreting data and drawing actionable conclusions
- Experience with email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp, ActiveCampaign, HubSpot, Klaviyo)
- Proficiency in Google Analytics (GA4) and basic website tracking/reporting
- Strong written communication skills — ability to write clear, compelling marketing copy
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines independently in a remote environment
Preferred
- Experience marketing for a professional services firm (accounting, legal, financial services, consulting)
- Familiarity with CRM platforms (e.g., HubSpot, GoHighLevel, Salesforce)
- Experience with landing page builders (e.g., ClickFunnels, Unbounce, Leadpages, or WordPress)
- Basic graphic design skills using Canva, Adobe Express, or similar tools
- Experience supporting video content creation or short-form social video strategy (YouTube, Instagram Reels, TikTok)
- Exposure to AI marketing tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Jasper, or similar) for content and copy generation
- Understanding of professional services sales cycles and buyer psychology
Key Competencies
- Data-first mindset — you make decisions based on numbers, not gut feelings alone
- Creative within constraints — you produce compelling content that still sounds professional and trustworthy
- Self-directed — you own your workload and don't need to be micromanaged
- Detail-oriented — your copy is clean, your tracking is accurate, and your reports are clear
- Curious & adaptive — you stay current on platform changes, algorithm updates, and marketing trends
- Collaborative — you work closely with leadership and support other departments when needed
- Results-obsessed — you care about leads, conversions, and client growth — not just impressions and likes
What Success Looks Like
- The firm's inbound lead volume grows month-over-month through a combination of paid and organic channels
- Marketing spend is optimized — cost per lead and cost per acquisition decrease over time as campaigns are refined
- The firm's content and social presence consistently reaches and educates target audiences (business owners, high-income earners, construction companies)
