Reporting To: Managing Director / Management

About the Role

Bharat Mata Ventures Pvt. Ltd. is looking for an energetic and result-oriented Business Development Manager to lead the business development, sales, marketing, and promotional activities of Vagamon Adventure Park.

The ideal candidate should have strong marketing and sales skills, excellent communication abilities, and a well-established network among tour operators, travel agencies, corporate companies, educational institutions, MICE/event organizers, and other tourism-related businesses.

The candidate will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, creating attractive packages, building strategic partnerships, increasing visitor footfall, and achieving the park's revenue and sales targets.

Key Responsibilities1. Business Development & Sales

Develop and implement strategies to increase visitor footfall and revenue.
Identify and develop new business opportunities in Kerala and other key markets.
Build strong relationships with tour operators, travel agencies, resorts, hotels, corporate companies, schools, colleges, and event organizers.
Generate regular group bookings and institutional bookings.
Develop B2B sales channels and corporate tie-ups.
Maintain a strong sales pipeline and follow up with prospective clients.
Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.

2. Tour Operator & Travel Trade Relations

Establish and maintain strong relationships with local and outstation tour operators.
Conduct regular meetings and visits with travel agencies and tour operators.
Develop special rates, commissions, and incentive schemes for travel partners.
Promote Vagamon Adventure Park as a preferred attraction in tour packages.
Encourage tour operators to include the park in Kerala tourism itineraries.
Develop partnerships with hotels, resorts, homestays, taxi operators, and destination management companies.

3. Corporate Sales

Develop corporate outing and employee engagement packages.
Approach companies, institutions, HR departments, and corporate travel planners.
Develop customized packages for corporate groups, team-building activities, employee outings, and family days.
Generate regular corporate group bookings.
Maintain long-term relationships with corporate clients.

4. Package Development

Design and introduce attractive packages based on different customer segments, such as:
Family packages
Couple packages
Student packages
School/college group packages
Corporate packages
Tour operator packages
Group packages
Hotel/resort guest packages
Festival and seasonal packages
Review package performance and recommend improvements based on market response.
Coordinate with operations and management to ensure packages are commercially viable.

5. Marketing & Promotions

Develop and execute offline and online promotional campaigns.
Coordinate with the digital marketing team for social media campaigns, advertisements, offers, and promotions.
Identify suitable promotional opportunities through tourism events, exhibitions, travel fairs, and industry networks.
Develop promotional tie-ups with hotels, resorts, travel agencies, influencers, and tourism stakeholders.
Explore new markets and customer segments for the park.

6. Market Development

Conduct market research to understand customer preferences, competitor activities, pricing, and new tourism trends.
Identify new source markets for Vagamon tourism.
Develop strategies to attract visitors from Kochi, Kottayam, Ernakulam, Trivandrum, Calicut, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, and other potential markets.
Monitor competitor parks and attractions and recommend suitable strategies.

7. Relationship Management

Maintain excellent relationships with existing business partners.
Regularly visit and meet key clients and business partners.
Collect customer and partner feedback and communicate important inputs to management.
Ensure quick and professional response to business enquiries.
Develop long-term strategic partnerships rather than one-time sales.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

The Business Development Manager will be evaluated primarily on measurable business results, including:

Increase in monthly visitor footfall
Revenue generated through business development activities
Number of active tour operator tie-ups
Number and value of corporate bookings
Number of school/college and institutional bookings
New B2B accounts generated
Repeat bookings from existing partners
Package sales and conversion rate
Hotel/resort tie-ups
Monthly and annual sales target achievement

Candidate Profile

Education:

Graduate in Marketing, Business Administration, Tourism, Hospitality, or a related field preferred.

Experience:

3–7 years of experience in business development, sales, tourism, hospitality, travel, destination marketing, or a related field.
Experience dealing with tour operators, travel agencies, hotels, resorts, or corporate clients will be highly preferred.

Required Skills

Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Strong sales and marketing abilities
Good knowledge of the Kerala tourism and travel market
Strong network among tour operators and travel agencies
Ability to develop and maintain corporate relationships
Good presentation and convincing skills
Creative approach to package development and promotions
Strong follow-up and conversion skills
Ability to work independently and achieve targets
Good knowledge of MS Office and basic CRM/reporting tools
Willingness to travel for business development activities

Languages

Essential: Malayalam & English
Preferred: Hindi and/or Tamil

Compensation

Salary: Competitive salary based on experience and capability.

Performance Incentive: Attractive incentives linked to achievement of business development and revenue targets.

Important Note

This is a result-oriented position. The candidate will be expected to actively generate business through market visits, relationship building, partnerships, promotions, package development, and direct sales rather than focusing only on routine marketing activities.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
