Sales Manager / Field Sales Executive – Solar Energy

About the Role

We are looking for energetic, confident and target-oriented Sales Executives / Field Sales Executives to join our Solar Sales Team.

The candidate will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, following up on company-provided leads, generating self-leads and converting prospects into successful solar projects.

The role will involve sales for Rooftop Solar Energy Solutions, Commercial Solar Projects, Industrial Solar Projects and other solar-related solutions, depending on customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Follow up regularly with leads provided by the company and convert them into potential customers.
Generate self-leads through field visits, referrals, networking, customer references, local market activities and other sources.
Identify and approach potential customers for solar energy solutions.
Conduct customer meetings and understand their electricity consumption, requirements and project expectations.
Explain suitable solar solutions, benefits, estimated savings, payback and other relevant information to customers.
Develop opportunities for rooftop, commercial, industrial and other solar projects.
Arrange and coordinate customer/site visits with the technical team wherever required.
Coordinate with the internal team for site surveys, technical discussions and preparation of quotations.
Follow up with customers from initial enquiry through quotation, negotiation and order closure.
Maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers.
Achieve assigned monthly sales targets and performance objectives.
Maintain proper records of leads, follow-ups, meetings, site visits, quotations and sales conversions.
Generate customer referrals and develop new business opportunities.
Coordinate with the technical, execution and other internal teams after order confirmation for smooth project progress.
Keep track of market trends, competitors and new business opportunities in the solar industry.

Lead & Performance Expectations

Leads will be provided by the company on a regular basis.
The candidate must actively follow up with the assigned leads and work towards converting them into orders.
In addition to company-provided leads, the candidate is expected to generate their own leads through field activities and networking.
Self-generated leads will be considered an important part of the candidate's overall performance.
Performance will be evaluated based on lead follow-up, self-generated leads, customer meetings, site visits, quotations, conversions, sales value and target achievement.

Rooftop Solar Energy Projects
Commercial Solar Projects
Industrial Solar Projects
Solar Solutions for Businesses & Institutions
Other Solar Energy Solutions as required

Candidate Profile

Experience in field sales, B2C sales, solar sales, electrical sales, real estate, construction or related industries is preferred.
Freshers with excellent communication skills and a strong interest in sales may also be considered.
Good communication, presentation and convincing skills.
Strong customer-handling and negotiation abilities.
Willingness to travel and work extensively in the field.
Ability to independently generate leads and develop new customer relationships.
Target-oriented, proactive and self-motivated.
Basic knowledge of solar energy/electrical systems will be an advantage.
Two-wheeler and valid driving licence will be an added advantage.
