Job Description
Consultant Radiologist / Clinical Validation & Product Advisor – Brain AI Suite
About ImagingIQ
ImagingIQ is building an AI-powered Brain Imaging Suite focused on intelligent, explainable, clinically relevant MRI analysis and reporting. Our platform is designed to assist radiologists and healthcare providers with faster, more consistent, and more insightful interpretation of brain imaging studies, while maintaining a strong focus on clinical utility, regulatory readiness, and real-world workflow integration.
We are looking for a radiologist who can bridge the gap between clinical practice, AI validation, and product development.
Role Overview
This is a hybrid clinical, product, and customer-facing role for a radiologist who wants to work at the intersection of brain imaging, AI, and healthcare innovation.
The ideal candidate will help us:
· validate AI approaches and outputs,
· provide structured feedback on clinical usefulness and reporting quality,
· guide product decisions from a radiologist’s perspective,
· and support initial demos and conversations with potential customers and clinical stakeholders.
This role is especially suitable for someone excited by the future of radiology, eager to shape products early, and comfortable working closely with AI, engineering, and product teams.
Key Responsibilities
1) Clinical Validation and Review
· Review AI-generated brain MRI outputs, findings, segmentations, measurements, overlays, and reports.
· Evaluate clinical relevance, diagnostic usefulness, consistency, and limitations of model outputs.
· Support retrospective and prospective validation exercises for Brain AI workflows.
· Help define acceptance criteria for model performance, reporting quality, edge cases, and failure modes.
· Identify clinically important misses, false positives, ambiguities, and workflow risks.
· Participate in comparative review against radiologist reports and assist in adjudication where required.
2) Product and Workflow Feedback
· Provide feedback on report structure, terminology, usability, explainability, visualization, and workflow integration.
· Guide product teams on what radiologists and clinicians will find intuitive, useful, and trustworthy.
· Help improve user experience for reporting, findings review, quality checks, and feedback loops.
· Advise on how to make AI outputs actionable in real radiology settings, not just technically impressive.
3) Clinical Knowledge Partner to AI Team
· Work with data scientists, ML engineers, and product managers to translate clinical needs into product and model requirements.
· Help define labeling logic, validation rubrics, error taxonomies, and clinically meaningful benchmarks.
· Support case discussions on tumor, mass effect, edema, midline shift, atrophy, ventricular findings, and related brain MRI features.
· Contribute to discussions on intended use, contraindications, edge cases, and safe deployment boundaries.
4) Customer and Stakeholder Engagement
· Join selected early demos, product walkthroughs, and validation discussions with hospitals, radiology groups, and prospective customers.
· Explain product outputs, positioning, strengths, and limitations in a clinically credible manner.
· Help answer workflow, adoption, and trust-related questions from customer stakeholders.
· Support pilot discussions, feedback collection, and early clinical relationship building.
5) Strategic and Compliance Input
· Advise on how product outputs should be framed for clinical acceptability and eventual regulatory readiness.
· Support medical review of validation documents, clinical claims, and reporting language where needed.
· Provide input on safe use, clinical risk considerations, and human-in-the-loop design.
Required Qualifications
· MBBS with MD/DNB in Radiodiagnosis.
· Active clinical practice experience in radiology.
· Strong experience in MRI interpretation, preferably including neuro/brain imaging.
· Ability to critically review reports, findings, and imaging outputs with strong clinical judgment.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Comfort working in a cross-functional startup or product-building environment.
· Interest in AI, medical imaging technology, and the future of radiology.
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience or strong familiarity with brain MRI and neuroimaging workflows.
· Prior exposure to AI tools, CAD tools, structured reporting, teleradiology, research, or healthtech.
· Experience in validation studies, academic research, publications, clinical audits, or product advisory roles.
· Ability to present confidently to clinicians, hospital stakeholders, and prospective customers.
· Comfort giving product feedback beyond pure clinical interpretation.
· Familiarity with tumor imaging, volumetry, segmentation outputs, or advanced neuroimaging interpretation is a strong advantage.
What Success Looks Like in This Role
In the first 3–6 months, the radiologist should be able to:
· establish a clear clinical feedback loop for Brain AI outputs,
· improve report and product quality through structured review,
· help the team identify the most clinically important failure points,
· strengthen customer confidence during demos and pilot discussions,
· and act as a reliable clinical voice inside product and AI development.
Ideal Candidate Profile
You may be a strong fit if you are:
· a practicing radiologist curious about AI,
· interested in shaping the next generation of radiology tools,
· able to balance clinical rigor with practical product thinking,
· and comfortable speaking with both engineers and doctors.
Why Join Us
· Opportunity to shape a real-world Brain AI product from the inside.
· Direct influence on validation, product design, and clinical adoption.
· Work at the intersection of radiology, AI, and healthcare transformation.
· Build a role with visible impact across product, science, and customer success.
