About the Role
We are looking for a Growth & Strategy Officer to drive YAL’s growth across enterprise and government markets.
This is fundamentally a deal-making role. Your primary responsibility will be to acquire clients, build strategic partnerships, open new markets, and convert high-potential opportunities into signed commercial engagements.
You will own priority opportunities from the first conversation through discovery, proposal development, negotiation, contracting, deployment, and account expansion. You will work closely with leadership, product, engineering, legal, and delivery teams to translate customer and institutional requirements into credible AI solutions and commercially viable partnerships.
Success in this role will be measured by the quality of the pipeline you build, the clients and partnerships you secure, the revenue you generate, and your ability to convert pilots into scalable, long-term engagements.
Key Responsibilities
Business Growth and Deal Closure
-
Build and manage a strong pipeline of enterprise and government opportunities.
-
Identify, qualify, pursue, and close strategic B2B and B2G deals.
-
Own the complete commercial cycle, including prospecting, discovery, solution positioning, proposal development, negotiation, contracting, and handover.
-
Build strong business cases and commercial proposals aligned with each client’s operational priorities.
-
Maintain deal momentum by developing clear stakeholder maps, action plans, timelines, and closure strategies.
-
Protect commercial viability, delivery feasibility, margins, and long-term account value during negotiations.
-
Maintain accurate pipeline reporting and revenue forecasts for leadership.
Enterprise Client Acquisition
-
Identify high-potential industries, organizations, and accounts where YAL’s AI capabilities can solve meaningful business problems.
-
Build relationships with senior business leaders, technology teams, operations leaders, innovation teams, and procurement stakeholders.
-
Lead customer discovery and translate operational challenges into relevant AI opportunities.
-
Develop account-specific pitches, concept notes, proposals, and commercial models.
-
Convert early discussions and pilots into production deployments and long-term commercial relationships.
-
Identify opportunities to expand existing accounts across additional use cases, business units, and geographies.
Government and Institutional Growth
-
Build relationships with government departments, public-sector organizations, government enterprises, implementation agencies, and institutional stakeholders.
-
Identify relevant government programs, digital transformation initiatives, tenders, RFPs, empanelment opportunities, and partnership-led projects.
-
Understand government procurement processes and develop practical strategies for navigating complex institutional buying cycles.
-
Work with system integrators, consultants, implementation partners, and consortium members to pursue government opportunities.
-
Develop proposals that connect YAL’s capabilities with measurable public-service and administrative outcomes.
-
Help convert pilot projects into scaled, multi-department or long-term deployments.
Strategic Partnerships
-
Identify and develop strategic alliances that expand YAL’s market access, credibility, technology ecosystem, or delivery capabilities.
-
Build partnerships with system integrators, consulting firms, technology companies, channel partners, industry bodies, and institutional organizations.
-
Define clear partnership models, commercial structures, responsibilities, and joint go-to-market plans.
-
Create partner-led opportunities and support joint pitches, proposals, demonstrations, and client engagements.
-
Build relationships that generate consistent introductions, opportunities, and long-term business value.
Growth and Market Strategy
-
Develop growth strategies for priority B2B and B2G segments.
-
Identify emerging customer needs, market gaps, partnership opportunities, and new routes to market.
-
Monitor enterprise AI adoption, government technology initiatives, digital transformation programs, and relevant competitive developments.
-
Convert market intelligence and customer feedback into recommendations for product positioning, commercial strategy, and market expansion.
-
Help leadership prioritize industries, accounts, partnerships, and opportunities based on strategic and commercial potential.
-
Build repeatable sales and partnership playbooks that improve conversion and shorten deal cycles.
Cross-Functional Execution
-
Work closely with product and engineering teams to shape solutions around genuine customer requirements.
-
Coordinate with legal, finance, security, and delivery teams during proposals, due diligence, contracting, and deployment planning.
-
Ensure commitments made during the sales process are realistic, clearly documented, and operationally deliverable.
-
Establish clear success criteria for pilots and early deployments.
-
Maintain strong internal communication so that priority opportunities move forward without unnecessary delays.
-
Represent YAL at relevant enterprise, government, technology, and industry forums.
What Success Looks Like
-
A strong and qualified pipeline across agreed enterprise and government segments.
-
New enterprise clients and government engagements converted into signed contracts.
-
Strategic partnerships that consistently create access, opportunities, and revenue.
-
Successful conversion of pilots and proofs of concept into scaled deployments.
-
Shorter deal cycles and improved conversion across priority opportunities.
-
Commercially sound agreements that balance revenue, margins, compliance, and delivery readiness.
-
Expansion of existing accounts into additional use cases, departments, and long-term relationships.
-
Reliable forecasting, disciplined execution, and clear ownership of every strategic opportunity.
What We Are Looking For
-
A strong record of originating, shaping, negotiating, and closing complex B2B, B2G, or institutional deals.
-
Experience selling technology, AI, SaaS, enterprise software, consulting, digital transformation, or other solution-led offerings.
-
Demonstrated ability to build relationships with senior executives, government stakeholders, procurement teams, partners, and institutional decision-makers.
-
Working knowledge of government procurement, tenders, RFPs, empanelment, consortium models, system integrators, or public-sector buying processes.
-
Strong commercial judgment and the ability to qualify opportunities, build business cases, structure offers, and negotiate confidently.
-
Excellent communication, presentation, proposal-writing, and executive storytelling skills.
-
Ability to explain complex AI and technology capabilities in terms of business value and public-service outcomes.
-
Comfort working with multiple stakeholders across longer and more complex sales cycles.
-
A relationship-building approach grounded in credibility, responsiveness, persistence, and trust.
-
Ability to operate in an evolving environment and create structure where established processes may not yet exist.
-
Willingness to remain hands-on throughout the deal cycle rather than limiting the role to strategy or lead generation.
-
Sufficient understanding of AI and enterprise technology to lead discovery and value conversations. Deep engineering expertise is not required.
You Will Stand Out If You Have
-
An established network across enterprise organizations, government institutions, system integrators, consulting firms, or technology partners.
-
Experience converting proofs of concept into production deployments or multi-year contracts.
-
Exposure to voice AI, conversational AI, multilingual technology, customer-engagement platforms, contact-center solutions, or citizen-service technology.
-
Experience building a new market, business category, geography, or partnership channel from the ground up.
-
Experience working with regulated industries or organizations with complex security, privacy, compliance, or deployment requirements.
How You Will Work
-
Commercially accountable: You take responsibility for signed outcomes, not just meetings, presentations, or leads.
-
Externally oriented: You spend meaningful time building relationships with clients, partners, and market stakeholders.
-
Strategic and hands-on: You can develop the growth strategy and then personally move the opportunity forward.
-
Cross-functional: You bring the right internal stakeholders together and maintain momentum throughout the deal cycle.
-
Customer-focused: You begin with genuine operational problems and build relevant, outcome-driven solutions.
-
Trust-led: You represent YAL’s capabilities accurately and build relationships that create long-term value.
-
Persistent: You understand that complex enterprise and government deals require patience, discipline, and consistent follow-through.
Why YAL
YAL is building human-centered AI solutions for people, enterprises, and governments. Our focus is on making communication more intelligent, accessible, and useful through voice, conversational, and enterprise AI.
This role offers the opportunity to shape how emerging AI capabilities reach real organizations, solve meaningful business and public-service challenges, and scale through strong commercial and institutional partnerships.
The Ideal Candidate
You are a commercially sharp relationship-builder who can open the right doors, understand complex stakeholder environments, shape credible AI opportunities, and close high-value enterprise and government deals.
You are equally comfortable developing a market strategy, meeting senior decision-makers, building a proposal, negotiating commercial terms, coordinating internal teams, and following through until the agreement is signed.
