Full job description

Job Summary

The Civil Head will be responsible for leading and managing the complete lifecycle of civil construction projects, from planning and budgeting to execution, monitoring, quality control, and final handover. The role requires strong leadership to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with approved specifications, safety standards, and statutory requirements.

The ideal candidate should have 10–15 years of experience in civil construction, with a proven track record of independently managing large-scale residential, commercial, industrial, or plotted development projects. Preference will be given to candidates who have successfully executed projects in the Tricity region (Chandigarh, Mohali, Panchkula, Zirakpur, New Chandigarh, Kharar, etc.) and are willing to work from Jalandhar.

Preferred Candidate Profile

Candidates with prior project execution experience in Chandigarh, Mohali, Panchkula, Zirakpur, New Chandigarh, Kharar, or nearby Tricity areas will be preferred.
Experience working with reputed real estate developers, builders, or infrastructure companies.
Proven ability to independently lead multiple large-scale projects from planning to successful handover.
Strong understanding of local construction practices, contractor management, and regulatory approvals.
Willing to work from Jalandhar.

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Planning

Prepare project execution plans, timelines, and resource allocation.
Review architectural, structural, and service drawings before execution.
Coordinate with architects, consultants, and management during the planning stage.
Prepare and review BOQs, cost estimates, and project budgets.
Plan material procurement and manpower requirements.
Identify project risks and recommend mitigation measures.
Ensure all required approvals and documentation are in place before project commencement.

2. Construction & Execution

Supervise all site construction activities from foundation to finishing.
Ensure work is completed according to approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
Monitor project progress and ensure timely completion of milestones.
Manage contractors, subcontractors, site engineers, and labour teams.
Conduct regular site inspections and quality checks.
Monitor material usage and control wastage.
Verify measurements, contractor bills, and work completion reports.
Ensure compliance with safety standards and statutory regulations.
Coordinate with procurement, accounts, legal, and management for smooth project execution.
Submit regular progress reports to management.

3. Project Handover

Conduct final quality inspections before project completion.
Prepare snag lists and ensure all defects are rectified.
Verify completion of all civil works as per approved specifications.
Coordinate with internal departments for project documentation.
Ensure all completion certificates, drawings, and records are properly maintained.
Oversee smooth handover of completed projects to clients or the operations team.
Resolve post-handover civil issues during the defect liability period, if applicable.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree (B.E./B.Tech) in Civil Engineering.
Diploma in Civil
Additional certifications in Project Management or Construction Management will be an advantage

Experience

10–15 years of experience in civil construction and project execution.
Minimum 5 years of experience in a leadership role managing complete construction projects.
Proven experience independently managing large-scale residential, commercial, industrial, or plotted development projects from planning through final handover.
Preference will be given to candidates who have successfully executed projects in the Tricity region (Chandigarh, Mohali, Panchkula, Zirakpur, New Chandigarh, Kharar, etc.).
Experience working with reputed real estate developers, builders, or EPC companies will be an added advantage.

Pay: From ₹120,000.00 per month
