Export Sales Executive

We are looking for a highly motivated, target-driven, and enthusiastic Export Sales Executive to expand our global presence by identifying new business opportunities and managing international customer relationships.

Job Summary

The Export Sales Executive will be responsible for generating international business opportunities, managing overseas client communications, preparing export quotations, negotiating commercial terms, and coordinating with internal departments to ensure seamless order execution. The ideal candidate should possess excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills along with a sound understanding of export sales processes and international trade practices.

Key Responsibilities

International Business Development

Identify and develop new international business opportunities.
Generate qualified export leads through trade portals, business directories, LinkedIn, exhibitions, trade fairs, and digital platforms.
Follow up with overseas buyers and convert inquiries into successful business opportunities.
Build and maintain a strong database of international customers and distributors.
Conduct market research to identify potential countries, industries, and customer segments.

Client Relationship Management

Communicate professionally with overseas customers through email, phone calls, WhatsApp, and virtual meetings.
Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable steel products.
Prepare professional product presentations, quotations, and commercial proposals.
Handle customer queries efficiently and ensure high customer satisfaction.
Build long-term relationships to encourage repeat business and referrals.

Export Sales & Commercial Operations

Prepare quotations, Proforma Invoices (PI), commercial offers, and sales documentation.
Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, and commercial agreements.
Coordinate with logistics and documentation teams for smooth export execution.
Track customer orders from inquiry to shipment.
Ensure timely order processing while maintaining quality and customer expectations.

Sales Coordination & Reporting

Coordinate with Procurement, Production, Logistics, Finance, and Quality departments for timely execution.
Maintain customer records and sales activities using CRM software.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports.
Achieve assigned sales targets and contribute to overall export revenue growth.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in International Business, International Trade, Marketing, Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field.
1–3 years of experience in Export Sales, International Business Development, or B2B Sales.
Strong understanding of export documentation and international trade procedures.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Strong negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Experience using CRM software.
Ability to build relationships with international clients.
Self-motivated with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.

Preferred Skills

Knowledge of international logistics, freight forwarding, and shipping procedures.
Experience working with international B2B buyers and distributors.
Familiarity with trade portals such as IndiaMART, Alibaba, Global Sources, TradeIndia, and Made-in-China.
Understanding of Incoterms, export compliance, payment methods (LC, TT, DP, DA), and international commercial practices.
Experience in the steel, metals, manufacturing, or industrial products sector will be an added advantage.
