Job Description: Assistant Manager – International Taxation

Required Skillsets

1. Strong knowledge of US Taxation or UK Taxation / European Taxation (experience in any one jurisdiction is mandatory).

2. Experience in preparing and reviewing corporate and/or individual tax returns.

3. Good understanding of international tax regulations, cross-border transactions, and tax compliance requirements.

4. Knowledge of VAT/GST, US Sales tax, Withholding tax, Indirect tax regulations relevant to respective jurisdiction.

5. Ability to interpret tax legislation and provide practical tax solutions.

6. Experience working with international clients and accounting firms is preferred.

Experience

1. 4–7 years of relevant experience in International Taxation.

2. Prior experience handling tax compliances and advisory assignments for US, UK, or European region.

Job Responsibilities

1. Prepare, review, and submit tax returns for corporate and individual clients in the assigned jurisdiction (US, UK, or Europe).

2. Handle VAT, sales tax, and other indirect tax compliance requirements as applicable.

3. Conduct tax research and provide recommendations on international tax matters.

4. Assist clients in managing cross-border tax issues and ensuring compliance with local regulations.

5. Review financial data and supporting documentation for tax reporting purposes.

6. Support tax planning initiatives and identify opportunities for tax optimization.

7. Monitor changes in tax laws and assess their impact on client engagements.

8. Coordinate with clients and overseas stakeholders to gather information and resolve tax-related queries.

9. Assist in tax audits, assessments, and regulatory reviews.

10. Prepare tax working papers, reconciliations, and management reports.

11. Ensure timely completion of tax assignments while maintaining high-quality standards.

12. Mentor and guide junior team members on taxation processes and best practices.

Qualifications

1. Bachelors / master’s degree in commerce, Accounting, Finance, or Taxation.

2. Additional certifications in International Taxation will be an added advantage.

3. Strong command on written and spoken English.

6. Experience working with international clients, accounting firms, or multinational organizations is preferred.

9. Review and improve accounting processes, controls, and reporting efficiency.

10. Collaborate with global stakeholders and client teams to resolve accounting and reporting queries.

11. Mentor and guide junior team members on accounting standards and financial reporting best practices.

Qualification

1. Bachelor’s / master’s degree in commerce / accounting / finance

2. Strong understanding of US GAAP and/or IFRS accounting frameworks.

3. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.

4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
