Job Description (JD) – MIS Executive

Position: MIS Executive

Job Summary

The MIS Executive will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, maintaining, and presenting business data related to tea production, procurement, inventory, sales, logistics, and finance. The role requires preparing accurate reports, monitoring key business metrics, and supporting management with timely information for effective decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

MIS & Reporting

· Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports for management.

· Generate and maintain reports related to tea production, procurement, dispatch, inventory, and sales.

· Ensure timely submission of operational and management reports.

· Analyze data trends and highlight variances or discrepancies.

Data Management

· Collect and compile data from factories, warehouses, sales teams, and departments.

· Maintain accurate databases and records.

· Verify data accuracy and ensure consistency across reports.

· Manage data entry and update information in ERP/software systems.

Inventory & Supply Chain Monitoring

· Track stock movement of tea, packaging materials, and other inventory items.

· Monitor inward and outward logistics data.

· Prepare inventory reconciliation reports.

· Support supply chain and planning teams with data analysis.

Sales & Business Analysis

· Prepare sales performance reports by region, customer, product, and channel.

· Analyze sales trends and provide insights to management.

· Track order fulfillment and dispatch performance.

· Assist in forecasting and demand planning reports.

Coordination & Compliance

· Coordinate with Production, Stores, Accounts, Logistics, and Sales departments for data collection.

· Maintain confidentiality of company data and reports.

· Ensure reports are prepared as per company policies and management requirements.

· Support audits by providing required data and documentation.

Required Qualifications

· Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Statistics, Computer Applications, or related field.

· Additional certification in Advanced Excel, MIS, Data Analytics, or ERP systems will be an advantage.

Skills & Competencies

· Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP, Power Query, Dashboards).

· Strong analytical and numerical skills.

· Proficiency in MS Office and ERP software.

· Good reporting and presentation skills.

· Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

· Ability to work under deadlines and handle large volumes of data.

· Good communication and coordination skills.

Experience

· 1–4 years of experience in MIS, reporting, data analysis, inventory management, or related roles.

· Experience in Tea Manufacturing, FMCG, Supply Chain, or Manufacturing Industry preferred.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

· Accuracy and timeliness of MIS reports.

· Data integrity and reporting compliance.

· Inventory and sales reporting accuracy.

· Support in management decision-making through actionable insights.

· Effective coordination with cross-functional departments.
