Job Title: Business Development Executive (BDE)
Industry: Education / EdTech
Employment Type: Full-Time
Location: Trivandrum, Kerala
Experience: 1–3 Years

Job Summary

We are looking for a dynamic and target-oriented Business Development Executive to drive student admissions and business growth through field sales and direct client engagement in the education sector.

The candidate will be responsible for visiting schools, colleges, educational institutions, companies, and other potential client locations, generating leads, building relationships, promoting educational programs, and converting prospects into enrollments/business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
Field Sales & Business Development

Conduct regular field visits to schools, colleges, universities, training institutes, and other potential institutions.
Identify new business opportunities and generate qualified leads.
Promote and explain the organization's courses, training programs, certifications, and educational services.
Meet students, parents, college management, placement officers, HR teams, and other decision-makers.
Conduct presentations, seminars, career awareness sessions, and promotional activities.
Follow up with leads through calls, WhatsApp, email, and personal meetings.
Convert qualified leads into admissions and business opportunities.

Institutional & Corporate Relationship Management

Build and maintain strong relationships with schools, colleges, universities, and corporate organizations.
Develop institutional tie-ups and partnership opportunities.
Coordinate with placement cells, departments, and management teams.
Identify opportunities for workshops, seminars, internships, training programs, and campus activities.

Sales Target & Reporting

Achieve daily, weekly, and monthly lead generation and admission/sales targets.
Maintain accurate records of field visits, leads, follow-ups, and conversions.
Prepare daily/weekly field activity reports.
Track the complete sales pipeline and ensure timely follow-up.
Monitor competitor activities and market trends.

Marketing & Promotional Activities

Participate in education fairs, career fairs, exhibitions, seminars, and promotional events.
Support branch-level marketing and student acquisition campaigns.
Conduct career guidance and awareness programs when required.
Collect market feedback and provide insights to the management.

Required Skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong sales, negotiation, and convincing abilities.
Good presentation and relationship-building skills.
Target-oriented and self-motivated approach.
Strong follow-up and lead-conversion skills.
Ability to independently plan and execute field visits.
Basic knowledge of MS Office / Google Sheets.
Ability to work in a fast-paced and target-driven environment.

Educational Qualification

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Education, Commerce, or any related field.
MBA/PGDM in Marketing or Sales is an added advantage.

Experience

1–3 years of experience in Business Development, Field Sales, Education Sales, EdTech, or a related industry.
Freshers with strong communication and sales potential may also be considered.
Experience in education/EdTech sales and institutional tie-ups will be an added advantage.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Monthly admission/sales target achievement.
Number of new leads generated.
Lead-to-admission conversion rate.
Number of institutional visits and tie-ups.
Revenue generated through field sales.
Customer/student acquisition.
Follow-up effectiveness and pipeline management.

Other Requirements

Willingness to travel extensively for field visits.
Two-wheeler and a valid driving licence are preferred.
Candidates should be comfortable meeting clients and educational institutions directly.
