International Holiday Sales Specialist – Inside Sales

Location: Kolkata

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and target-oriented International Holiday Sales Specialist – Inside Sales to join our team.

The candidate will be responsible for converting inbound travel enquiries into confirmed international holiday bookings and generating revenue. This is a consultative sales role involving customer interaction, destination consultation, customized holiday proposals, follow-ups, objection handling, negotiation and closing.

The ideal candidate should have proven experience in selling international holiday packages/FITs, strong destination knowledge, excellent communication skills and a demonstrated ability to convert leads into revenue.

IMPORTANT: This is an INBOUND INSIDE SALES role. It is NOT a field-sales, retail-sales, telecalling, customer-support, ticketing or travel-operations position. Candidates must have relevant experience in selling international holidays/travel packages.Key Responsibilities

Handle and respond to inbound international travel enquiries/leads received through website, digital marketing, WhatsApp, phone, referrals and other channels.
Understand the customer's destination preferences, travel dates, budget, interests and expectations.
Act as a travel consultant and recommend suitable international destinations, hotels, experiences and holiday packages.
Prepare and present customized holiday proposals and itineraries.
Work with internal product/operations teams and DMCs to develop competitive packages where required.
Follow up systematically with prospective customers through calls, WhatsApp and email.
Build trust and rapport with customers throughout the sales process.
Handle customer objections related to price, itinerary, hotels, destination and competition.
Negotiate effectively while maintaining the company's required margins.
Convert qualified leads into confirmed bookings and revenue.
Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling of hotels, room upgrades, transfers, experiences, tours and other travel services.
Maintain accurate lead and sales pipeline information in CRM/MIS.
Track every enquiry from initial contact through closure.
Record lost leads and identify reasons for non-conversion.
Coordinate with Visa, Operations and DMC teams after confirmation to ensure smooth handover.
Maintain professional communication with clients before, during and after the booking process.
Achieve monthly and quarterly sales, conversion and revenue targets.

Candidate Requirements

2–5 years of proven experience in international holiday/travel sales.
Mandatory experience in selling international holiday packages/FITs.
Proven track record of converting inbound leads/enquiries into bookings.
Strong knowledge of international destinations and holiday products.
Experience handling customized travel requirements.
Strong consultative selling and closing skills.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Strong negotiation and objection-handling ability.
Excellent follow-up discipline.
Ability to work with sales targets and revenue KPIs.
Good knowledge of MS Office / Google Workspace and CRM/lead-management systems.
Ability to manage multiple leads and sales opportunities simultaneously.

High-performing candidates with a proven record of international holiday sales and strong conversion ratios may be offered a higher package.
