Accounts Manager — Seamark Mercantile pvt ltd

Location: Gurgaon | Type: Full-time | Experience: 3–6 years

About Seamark

Seamark Mercantile is a growing international commodity trading startup dealing in foodstuffs, edible oils, fats and agricultural commodities.

We are looking for our first finance employee — someone who can independently build and manage the finance function from the ground up.

The Role

You will own end-to-end finance and accounting at Seamark, working directly with the founders.

Your responsibilities will include:

End-to-end bookkeeping and accounting
Daily cash-flow management, forecasting and reporting
Bank, customer, supplier and ledger reconciliations
P&L and financial reporting
Invoicing, receivables and payment follow-ups
Customer interaction and communication regarding payments/accounts
GST, income tax and all statutory/tax filings
Banking operations and bank coordination
Forex transactions and accounting
FEMA compliance and international trade-related finance
Import/export accounting and documentation
Working with auditors, tax consultants and banks
Building finance processes, controls and systems from scratch

Non-Negotiable / Deal Breakers

You must be able to independently manage:

Bookkeeping and accounting end-to-end
Cash-flow and reconciliations
P&L and financial reporting
Invoicing and collections
GST and tax returns
Statutory compliance
Banking and Forex
FEMA guidelines
Setting up accounting processes without relying on an existing finance team

This is not a bookkeeping-only role. We need someone who can take complete ownership of the finance function.

Qualifications

We are looking for candidates who are:

CA / CA Inter (ICAI) — both groups preferred
CMA / ICWA qualified or Intermediate
Or have equivalent strong hands-on accounting and finance experience
3–6 years of relevant experience
Strong knowledge of GST, taxation, banking, Forex and FEMA
