Role description

Job Description

The eLearning Developer creates OnDemand courses and content utilizing Articulate Vyond and other eLearning authoring multimedia and AI powered tools. Using templates and subject matter expert provided storyboards the eLearning Developer rapidly converts instructor led training into self study courses. The role ensures that all courses meet Continuing Professional Education CPE requirements and is responsible for required documentation and quality testing. The developer follows GT visual identity guidelines and creates high quality materials using the full functionality of applicable design and development tools.

Core Job Responsibilities

Consulting with GT INDUS lead and INDUS and US L and E Designers and Senior Developers to define specific visual treatments
Working with team members such as GT INDUS and US L and E Designers subject matter experts and graphics or branding teams to build high quality courses
Collaborating with GT INDUS and US L and E Designers and Senior Developers on eLearning tool functionality and options to increase learner engagement
Working with GT US Ireland and Global compliance and LMS administrators on all CPE compliance testing and piloting needs when creating CPE compliant self study courses
Uploading eLearning courses into the LMS platforms including Sumtotal and Cornerstone

Required Experience and Characteristics

Proficiency in development tools such as Articulate Storyline including Rise and Vyond
Experience with multimedia and editing tools including Adobe InDesign Illustrator Photoshop Acrobat and Premiere
Minimum of one to two years of experience in developing self paced eLearning
Strong business mindset with the ability to thrive in a collaborative service oriented and consultative environment
Experience working in a professional services environment
Coachable attitude with a strong desire to learn
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Ability to work under tight deadlines
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proficient PC skills including Microsoft Office 365
Basic knowledge of instructional design theories models methodologies and adult learning best practices is an added advantage
