About the Role

PAISA 108 PRIVATE LIMITED is seeking a highly driven and experienced Operations Manager to lead and manage its day-to-day operational activities across digital lending, payments, reconciliation, MIS and stakeholder management.

The role will be responsible for ensuring operational efficiency, timely loan processing and disbursement, payment and settlement accuracy, effective team management, process compliance and continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate will be a strong analytical professional with excellent leadership and problem-solving capabilities and advanced proficiency in MS Excel, with the ability to manage large datasets and develop accurate MIS and management dashboards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Operations Management

Manage end-to-end operational activities across the digital lending lifecycle.
Monitor loan applications from application and verification through approval, documentation and disbursement.
Track application volumes, approvals, rejections, pending cases and disbursements.
Ensure adherence to defined TAT, SLAs, SOPs and operational controls.
Identify operational bottlenecks and drive timely resolution.

2. Bank Payment & Settlement Operations

Oversee bank payment, loan disbursement, repayment, refund and settlement operations.
Coordinate with banks, payment gateways, payment aggregators and lending partners.
Monitor daily payment transactions, failed transactions, pending payments and settlement status.
Ensure timely processing and accurate tracking of customer disbursements and collections.
Monitor payment exceptions and coordinate with relevant stakeholders for resolution.
Maintain accurate payment and settlement records and reports.

3. Reconciliation & Financial Operations

Perform regular reconciliation of bank statements, payment gateway reports, payment aggregator reports, LMS/LOS data and internal MIS.
Identify and resolve unmatched, failed, duplicate, reversed and disputed transactions.
Coordinate with Finance/Accounts and external partners for timely resolution of discrepancies.
Maintain reconciliation trackers, exception reports and settlement records.
Ensure high levels of accuracy and control across payment-related operations.

4. MIS, Reporting & Analytics

Prepare and publish Daily, Weekly and Monthly MIS for management.
Develop operational dashboards and performance trackers.
Analyze application, disbursement, repayment, payment and settlement data.
Provide management with actionable insights based on operational performance.
Ensure accuracy, completeness and timely delivery of all reports.
Drive automation of recurring reports and manual reporting processes.

5. Advanced Excel Expertise

Excellent Advanced MS Excel knowledge is mandatory.

The candidate should have strong hands-on expertise in:

The candidate must be capable of independently analyzing large operational and financial datasets and converting them into meaningful management reports and dashboards.

6. Team Management

Lead, manage and develop the Operations team.
Allocate responsibilities and monitor daily productivity.
Establish and track team KPIs and performance metrics.
Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.
Identify training requirements and improve team capabilities.
Promote a culture of accountability, accuracy and operational excellence.

7. Process Improvement & Operational Excellence

Review and continuously improve operational processes and SOPs.
Identify process gaps, inefficiencies and manual dependencies.
Conduct root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
Drive automation and process optimization initiatives.
Reduce operational errors, rework and processing time.
Support the implementation of new products, systems and operational workflows.

8. Stakeholder & Partner Management

Coordinate effectively with NBFCs, lending partners, banks, payment gateways, payment aggregators and technology partners.
Work closely with Credit, Finance, Customer Support, Risk, Compliance, Technology and Business teams.
Manage operational escalations and ensure timely resolution.
Maintain effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.

9. Quality, Compliance & Risk

Ensure adherence to company policies, SOPs and applicable regulatory requirements.
Maintain high standards of operational accuracy and data integrity.
Ensure confidentiality and appropriate handling of customer and financial information.
Identify operational risks and implement appropriate controls.
Support internal and external audit requirements.
Ensure appropriate maker-checker and authorization controls are followed.
