Job Description – SEO & Digital Marketing Executive

About the Role

The Leather Laundry is looking for a SEO & Digital Marketing Executive responsible for improving the company’s online visibility, organic search rankings, website traffic, lead generation, and digital advertising performance.

The candidate will manage complete SEO activities, including On-Page SEO, Off-Page SEO, Technical SEO, Local SEO, content optimization, Google Ads, Meta Ads, keyword research, analytics, reporting, and performance optimization.

The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of search engine optimization and paid digital marketing, along with the ability to plan and execute campaigns independently.

Key Responsibilities

1. Search Engine Optimization (SEO)

* Develop and execute the overall SEO strategy for The Leather Laundry.

* Conduct comprehensive keyword research based on search volume, competition, user intent, services, and business objectives.

* Identify keywords for leather cleaning, handbag restoration, shoe restoration, luxury bag repair, leather repair, restoration services, and related services.

* Monitor Google search rankings and identify opportunities for improvement.

* Conduct regular SEO audits and implement recommendations.

* Analyze competitors and identify gaps in their SEO strategy.

* Improve organic traffic, rankings, visibility, and qualified leads.

2. On-Page SEO

* Optimize website pages for targeted keywords and search intent.

* Optimize:

* Page titles

* Meta titles

* Meta descriptions

* H1, H2, and H3 headings

* URLs

* Image alt text

* Internal links

* Content structure

* Keyword placement

* Identify pages with poor rankings, low traffic, or low conversion rates and optimize them.

* Improve website content for both search engines and users.

* Implement internal linking strategies.

* Optimize service pages, landing pages, category pages, and blog content.

3. Off-Page SEO

* Develop and execute an effective Off-Page SEO and link-building strategy.

* Identify relevant and high-quality websites for backlinks.

* Build quality backlinks through:

* Guest posting

* Digital PR

* Business listings

* Relevant directories

* Brand mentions

* Outreach

* Partnerships

* Monitor backlink quality and identify harmful or low-quality links.

* Improve domain authority and overall website credibility.

* Conduct competitor backlink analysis and identify link-building opportunities.

4. Technical SEO

* Conduct regular technical SEO audits.

* Identify and coordinate the resolution of:

* Broken links

* Indexing issues

* Crawlability issues

* Duplicate content

* Redirect issues

* Canonical issues

* Sitemap issues

* Robots.txt issues

* Page speed issues

* Mobile usability issues

* Monitor Google Search Console for errors and indexing problems.

* Coordinate with developers/website teams for technical SEO improvements.

* Ensure the website follows current SEO best practices.

5. Local SEO

* Manage and optimize Google Business Profile listings.

* Improve local search visibility for The Leather Laundry’s locations.

* Maintain accurate business information, services, categories, and location details.

* Work on local citations and relevant directories.

* Monitor and improve local rankings.

* Encourage and manage customer review strategies.

* Track local SEO performance and leads.

6. Content & SEO Strategy

* Develop SEO-focused content strategies.

* Conduct content gap analysis.

* Create content briefs based on keyword research and search intent.

* Coordinate with content writers for blogs, service pages, landing pages, and other website content.

* Optimize existing content to improve rankings and traffic.

* Identify new topics and service pages that can generate organic traffic.

* Ensure content follows Google’s search quality guidelines.

Google Ads / PPC

7. Google Ads Management

* Plan, create, manage, and optimize Google Ads campaigns.

* Manage campaigns across relevant Google Ads formats, including:

* Search Ads

* Performance Max

* Display Ads

* Remarketing campaigns

* Local/lead-focused campaigns where applicable

* Conduct keyword research for paid campaigns.

* Create and test ad copies.

* Manage negative keywords.

* Optimize bids, budgets, targeting, and campaign structure.

* Monitor CPC, CTR, conversions, CPA, ROAS, and overall campaign performance.

* Identify high-performing and underperforming keywords and campaigns.

* Continuously optimize campaigns to improve lead quality and reduce acquisition costs.

Meta Ads / Social Media Advertising

8. Meta Ads Management

* Plan, create, manage, and optimize Facebook and Instagram advertising campaigns.

* Develop campaigns for:

* Lead generation

* Website traffic

* Brand awareness

* Retargeting

* Customer acquisition

* Service promotion

* Set up appropriate audience targeting.

* Create and test different ad creatives, copy, formats, and audiences.

* Monitor campaign performance and optimize budgets.

* Analyze CPL, CTR, CPM, conversions, and other key metrics.

* Implement retargeting strategies for website visitors and engaged users.

* Identify opportunities to improve lead quality and campaign ROI.

Analytics & Performance Tracking

9. Reporting & Analysis

* Monitor website performance using Google Analytics 4 and Google Search Console.

* Track organic traffic, keyword rankings, conversions, leads, and user behavior.

* Monitor Google Ads and Meta Ads performance.

* Prepare weekly and monthly digital marketing reports.

* Track important KPIs and compare performance against targets.

* Identify problems and opportunities through data analysis.

* Provide actionable recommendations to improve SEO and paid marketing performance.

Website & Conversion Optimization

* Identify website pages with high traffic but low conversion rates.

* Recommend improvements to landing pages and website content.

* Work on CTA placement, forms, page structure, and user experience.

* Coordinate with the website/development team for required changes.

* Ensure paid traffic is directed to relevant and conversion-focused landing pages.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

* Monitor SEO rankings and organic traffic.

* Conduct keyword research.

* Optimize website pages and metadata.

* Check Google Search Console and identify issues.

* Work on On-Page and Technical SEO.

* Execute Off-Page SEO and backlink activities.

* Monitor Google Business Profile and Local SEO.

* Plan and optimize SEO content.

* Monitor Google Ads campaigns.

* Monitor Meta Ads campaigns.

* Optimize budgets, targeting, keywords, and creatives.

* Track leads and conversions.

* Analyze campaign performance.

* Prepare performance reports.

* Conduct competitor analysis.

* Identify new SEO and digital marketing opportunities.

* Coordinate with content, creative, website, and sales teams.

Required Skills

* Strong understanding of SEO and Search Engine Marketing (SEM).

* Hands-on knowledge of On-Page, Off-Page, Technical, and Local SEO.

* Strong keyword research and competitor analysis skills.

* Knowledge of Google Search Console and Google Analytics 4.

* Practical experience with Google Ads.

* Practical experience with Meta Ads Manager.

* Understanding of conversion tracking and campaign analytics.

* Good knowledge of Excel/Google Sheets.

* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

* Good written and verbal communication.

* Ability to work independently and manage multiple campaigns.

* Strong understanding of current search engine and digital advertising practices.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate should be data-driven, creative, analytical, and performance-focused, with hands-on knowledge of both organic SEO and paid digital marketing.

The candidate should be capable of taking ownership of the complete digital marketing funnel — from keyword research and SEO strategy to website optimization, organic traffic, Google Ads, Meta Ads, lead generation, conversion tracking, and performance reporting.
