About the Role

This is a B2C inside sales role within the EdTech industry, focused on converting qualified student and professional enquiries into enrollments. You will speak with prospective learners, understand their career goals, recommend relevant programs, handle objections, follow up consistently, and guide candidates through the complete admission journey. The ideal candidate is a confident communicator who enjoys sales, understands the importance of follow-ups, and is motivated by achieving and exceeding monthly targets.

Key Responsibilities

Lead Conversion & Inside Sales

· Handle qualified leads generated through digital marketing and other acquisition channels.

· Connect with prospective students and working professionals through calls, WhatsApp, email, and virtual meetings.

· Understand the candidate's education, experience, career goals, and learning requirements.

· Recommend relevant courses and programs based on the candidate's profile.

· Conduct effective sales pitches and product presentations.

· Convert qualified leads into paid enrollments.

· Consistently achieve monthly and quarterly admission targets.

Student Counselling

· Explain course curriculum, program structure, duration, certifications, fees, schedules, and career support.

· Help prospects understand the relevance and career value of different programs.

· Address questions and concerns related to courses, eligibility, fees, and admissions.

· Identify the candidate's needs and position the right program accordingly.

· Build trust and establish strong relationships throughout the decision-making process.

Follow-ups & Objection Handling

· Maintain regular and structured follow-ups with prospective students.

· Handle common sales objections related to pricing, course selection, competition, timing, and decision-making.

· Use effective persuasion and negotiation techniques to move prospects through the admissions funnel.

· Create urgency and drive timely enrollment decisions without compromising the student experience.

CRM & Pipeline Management

· Maintain accurate lead and prospect information in the CRM.

· Update lead stages, follow-up activities, conversations, and admission status.

· Manage the sales pipeline and prioritize high-intent prospects.

· Ensure no qualified lead is missed due to delayed or inconsistent follow-up.

· Track individual performance against daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets.

Admissions & Onboarding

· Guide students through documentation, payment, and enrollment procedures.

· Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth admission and onboarding.

· Maintain a positive candidate experience from the first interaction through enrollment.

Key Skills & Competencies

· Strong B2C sales and conversion skills.

· Excellent verbal and written communication.

· Strong counselling, persuasion, negotiation, and objection-handling abilities.

· Highly confident and comfortable speaking with students and working professionals.

· Strong follow-up discipline and pipeline management skills.

· Target-driven and motivated by incentives and performance.

· Ability to understand customer needs and recommend the right solution.

· Comfortable working in a high-volume lead environment.

· Basic understanding of CRM systems and sales reporting.

· Strong ownership of individual sales targets and conversion numbers.

Educational Qualification

· Bachelor's degree in any discipline.

· MBA/PGDM in Sales, Marketing, Business Management, or a related field is an added advantage but not mandatory.
