*Job Summary:*
We are seeking an accomplished and result-driven *Senior Operations Manager – Construction* to lead and oversee end-to-end operations across multiple construction projects and sites. The incumbent will be responsible for strategic planning, project execution, resource optimization, cost control, quality assurance, and timely delivery of projects while ensuring adherence to safety and regulatory standards.
The ideal candidate should possess extensive experience in managing *Civil Construction, MEP (Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing) works, Architectural Coordination, Estimation, Planning, and Multi-Site Operations*. The role demands exceptional leadership, operational excellence, and the ability to manage cross-functional teams, contractors, consultants, and stakeholders effectively.
*Key Responsibilities:*
*1. Project & Site Operations Management*
- Lead and manage construction operations across multiple project sites simultaneously.
- Ensure projects are executed as per approved timelines, budgets, specifications, and quality standards.
- Develop and implement project execution strategies to achieve organizational objectives.
- Monitor project progress, identify operational challenges, and implement corrective actions to ensure seamless execution.
- Conduct periodic site visits to review progress, productivity, quality, and compliance.
- Ensure timely project completion while maintaining optimum resource utilization.
*2. Planning, Estimation & Cost Control*
- Prepare and review project estimates, BOQs, budgets, and cost forecasts.
- Develop detailed project schedules, execution plans, and milestone trackers.
- Monitor project costs and implement effective cost-control measures to maximize profitability.
- Analyze project variances and recommend corrective actions to avoid cost overruns.
- Coordinate with procurement and finance teams for budget planning and cash flow management.
*3. Civil, MEP & Architectural Coordination*
- Oversee execution and coordination of Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing activities across projects.
- Ensure proper integration and coordination between civil, architectural, and MEP disciplines.
- Review engineering drawings, technical specifications, and construction methodologies.
- Coordinate with architects, consultants, contractors, and design teams to ensure smooth project execution.
- Resolve technical and execution-related issues arising at project sites.
*4. Material Planning & Resource Management*
- Forecast material requirements for ongoing and upcoming projects.
- Ensure timely procurement and availability of materials, equipment, and resources at all sites.
- Optimize utilization of manpower, machinery, and materials to minimize wastage and improve efficiency.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with procurement teams for timely replenishment.
*5. Quality Assurance & Compliance*
- Establish and maintain robust quality control systems across all projects.
- Ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, statutory regulations, and industry standards.
- Conduct regular quality audits and implement preventive and corrective measures.
- Ensure strict adherence to workplace safety standards, environmental regulations, and company policies.
*6. Team Leadership & Stakeholder Management*
- Lead, mentor, and develop project managers, site engineers, supervisors, and support teams.
- Foster a high-performance culture focused on accountability, collaboration, and operational excellence.
- Coordinate effectively with clients, consultants, architects, contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
- Conduct regular review meetings and provide strategic recommendations to senior management.
*7. Reporting & Documentation*
- Prepare and present periodic MIS reports, project dashboards, and progress updates to management.
- Maintain project documentation, approvals, contracts, technical records, and compliance documentation.
- Track project KPIs and ensure timely reporting of operational performance metrics.
*Educational Qualifications:*
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering is mandatory.
- Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field will be preferred.
*Experience:*
- Minimum *10–15 years* of relevant experience in construction project execution and operations management.
- Proven experience in managing multiple construction sites simultaneously.
- Extensive exposure to Civil Construction, MEP works, estimation, planning, and architectural coordination.
- Experience in residential, commercial, industrial, or mixed-use construction projects will be preferred.
