- Are comfortable with daily outreach and professional engagement activities during the internship, including the training period.

About AWA Teknik Private Limited
AWA Teknik Private Limited is an engineering consultancy working in MEP (Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing) Design, HVAC systems, electrical engineering, plumbing design and firefighting systems.
Our projects include healthcare, residential, commercial and infrastructure developments.
The work involves practical design, engineering calculations, drafting, coordination and support during project execution.
About the Internship
The internship is structured into two stages:
First 2 Months – Training
Next 4 Months – Project Work
The training period covers MEP fundamentals, HVAC, electrical design, plumbing design and drafting. After completion of the training phase, interns will be given exposure to active project work based on their progress and performance.
Projects may include hospitals, showrooms, residential buildings, airports and other infrastructure projects.
Internship Responsibilities
The responsibilities may include:
- Assisting with MEP design drawings, HVAC layouts, electrical schematics and plumbing drawings.
- Assisting with basic engineering calculations.
- Supporting project work while maintaining quality and timelines.
- Participating in client meetings and presentations when required.
- Coordinating with office and site teams for project execution.
- Assisting with training programs for engineering students.
- Conducting daily outreach to students, architects and institutions as part of the internship responsibilities, including during the training period and training sessions where applicable.
- Supporting marketing activities through LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, webinars and events.
- Assisting with business development and industry networking activities.
- Providing regular work updates to the Project Coordinator and Director.
The internship therefore includes both technical engineering responsibilities and professional engagement activities.
QualificationsEducational Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Civil Engineering.
Technical Knowledge
Candidates should have a basic understanding of:
- HVAC systems
- Electrical systems
- Plumbing design
- Firefighting systems
Working knowledge of AutoCAD is required.
Fresh graduates and entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply.
You are not expected to know everything at the time of joining. However, you should be willing to learn, accept feedback, improve your technical skills and take responsibility for assigned work.
Internship StructureFirst 2 Months – Training Period
The first two months will focus on structured training and skill development.
Training may include:
- MEP fundamentals
- HVAC
- Electrical Design
- Plumbing Design
- Drafting
- Online tutorials
- Internal workshops
- Guided training
- Learning assignments
- Practical activities
- Evaluations
- Site exposure where applicable
Daily outreach responsibilities will continue during the training period.
Candidates will be expected to complete assigned training modules, learning activities, assignments and evaluations.
Where additional training is required to achieve the expected learning outcomes, the training period may be extended until satisfactory completion.
Next 4 Months – Active Project Work
After completion of the training phase, interns will move into active project work based on their progress and performance.
Project work may include:
- MEP design projects
- HVAC design assignments
- Electrical layouts
- Electrical load estimation
- Plumbing system design
- MEP drafting
- Design documentation
- Project coordination
- Office and site coordination
Performance Review
Performance will be reviewed throughout the internship.
Candidates will receive guidance and feedback relating to:
- Technical work
- Assigned projects

- Timelines
- Technical improvement
- Professional development
Performance during the internship will also be considered for potential full-time employment.
Working Conditions
Location: Palarivattom, Kochi, Kerala
Working Hours: 8:45 AM to 5:15 PM
Working Days: Monday to Saturday
Candidates are required to bring their own laptop.
Site visits may be required depending on project requirements.
There is no Work From Home (WFH) option for this position.
Accommodation is not provided. Candidates are responsible for their own accommodation and commuting arrangements.
Stipend and CompensationFirst 2 Months – Training Period
No stipend
The first two months are a structured training period focused on technical learning, assignments, practical activities and evaluations.
After Training
₹3,000 per month
A stipend of ₹3,000 per month will be provided after the training phase.
Performance-based incentives may also be considered based on individual performance and company requirements.
Leave Policy
Interns are eligible for up to 1 day of leave per month.
- Leave should be requested in advance wherever possible and will require approval.
- Leave approval will depend on training schedules, project requirements, deadlines and other work requirements.
- Unplanned leave or extended absence should be communicated to the company at the earliest possible opportunity.
- Leave exceeding the permitted 1 day per month may result in an extension of the internship duration.
- Any extension may be required to ensure completion of the required training, assignments and project exposure.
- Candidates are therefore expected to plan their personal commitments accordingly and maintain regular attendance throughout the internship.
Internship Certificate
An Internship Completion Certificate will be issued upon successful completion of the internship and fulfillment of the applicable internship requirements and responsibilities.
Full-Time Employment Opportunity
Candidates who successfully complete the full 6-month internship and demonstrate good performance, technical capability, professional conduct and commitment may be considered for a full-time position as Junior MEP Design Engineer at AWA Teknik Private Limited.
Full-time employment is subject to company requirements and performance evaluation.
The current entry-level salary for such positions starts from ₹7,000 per month.
Completion of the internship does not automatically guarantee full-time employment.
Parent / Guardian Acknowledgement
Selected candidates may be requested to provide written acknowledgement from a parent or guardian confirming that they are aware of:

Important Conditions
Selected candidates will be required to:
- Sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA).
- Maintain confidentiality regarding company, client, project, technical and business information.
- Maintain professional conduct throughout the internship.
- Follow applicable company policies and internship requirements.
- Complete assigned responsibilities and learning requirements.
- Maintain appropriate professional communication with colleagues, students, architects, institutions, clients and other stakeholders where applicable.
The internship certificate will be issued upon successful completion of the internship program and compliance with applicable company policies and responsibilities.

3. Final Selection
