About the Role

We are looking for a highly experienced and results-driven YouTube & Social Media Strategist to lead the growth of our digital platforms. This is not a content posting or community management role. We are looking for someone who can build long-term growth strategies, identify opportunities before trends peak, optimize content performance, and help our creative team consistently produce high-performing content across YouTube and social media.

The ideal candidate should have a proven track record of scaling channels organically, understanding platform algorithms, and converting content into measurable business growth.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute long-term growth strategies for YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, X, and other relevant platforms.
Create monthly and quarterly growth roadmaps with measurable KPIs.
Analyze YouTube Analytics, Meta Insights, Google Analytics, and other performance tools to identify opportunities for growth.
Conduct in-depth competitor research and benchmark industry leaders to identify content gaps and growth opportunities.
Guide the content, scripting, editing, thumbnail, and production teams with data-backed recommendations.
Build scalable content strategies for Shorts, Reels, long-form videos, and platform-specific content.
Optimize titles, thumbnails, descriptions, SEO, metadata, playlists, and audience retention strategies.
Improve click-through rate (CTR), average view duration, watch time, subscriber growth, engagement rate, and overall channel performance.
Identify emerging trends, content formats, and algorithm updates before competitors.
Develop content calendars based on audience behavior, search trends, and seasonal opportunities.
Design A/B testing strategies for thumbnails, titles, hooks, and publishing schedules.
Recommend improvements to storytelling, pacing, editing style, and content packaging.
Collaborate with designers, editors, scriptwriters, anchors, and production teams to ensure every piece of content is optimized for performance.
Plan audience acquisition strategies across both organic and paid channels whenever required.
Monitor platform policy changes and ensure all content follows current monetization and community guidelines.
Present weekly and monthly performance reports with actionable insights and strategic recommendations.
Mentor internal team members and establish best practices for content creation and growth.

Required Skills

Strong understanding of YouTube algorithms and recommendation systems.
Deep knowledge of Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, X, and emerging social media platforms.
Expertise in YouTube SEO, keyword research, metadata optimization, and search-driven content.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret large datasets and convert them into actionable strategies.
Experience using tools such as YouTube Analytics, Google Analytics, Meta Business Suite, TubeBuddy, vidIQ, Google Trends, and other relevant research platforms.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Ability to work closely with creative teams while making decisions based on performance data.
Strong understanding of audience psychology and content consumption behavior.
Excellent project management and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications

6+ years of experience in YouTube growth, digital strategy, or social media strategy.
Demonstrated experience growing one or more YouTube channels to significant scale.
Experience working with media companies, creators, agencies, or digital-first brands.
Portfolio or case studies showcasing measurable growth achieved for previous brands or channels.
