Full job description

Role Overview

We are looking for a proactive and creative Marketing and Communications Officer to manage the company’s marketing activities, public communications, digital presence, media relationships, and promotional campaigns.

The candidate will be responsible for developing communication strategies, coordinating content and publicity, managing social media platforms, supporting film and project promotions, and maintaining consistent communication with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute marketing and communication strategies for the company and its projects.
Manage the company’s social media platforms, website content, newsletters, and digital communication channels.
Create and coordinate promotional content, press releases, announcements, presentations, brochures, and marketing materials.
Plan and execute publicity campaigns for films, events, launches, and company initiatives.
Coordinate with designers, photographers, video editors, agencies, influencers, and media partners.
Build and maintain relationships with journalists, publications, entertainment media, influencers, and industry stakeholders.
Manage media enquiries, interview requests, press conferences, and promotional appearances.
Prepare communication materials for investors, partners, artists, technicians, and clients.
Monitor media coverage, social media conversations, campaign performance, and brand reputation.
Maintain a content and communication calendar for all ongoing projects.
Support artist promotions, film announcements, teaser and trailer launches, events, and release campaigns.
Ensure consistent brand identity, messaging, tone, and visual presentation across all platforms.
Prepare regular marketing reports, campaign updates, and performance insights.
Assist the management team with business presentations, proposals, and official communications.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Mass Communication, Public Relations, Journalism, Media Studies, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum 1–3 years of experience in marketing, communications, public relations, media, entertainment, or digital marketing.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Malayalam.
Excellent content writing, proofreading, presentation, and storytelling abilities.
Good understanding of social media platforms, digital marketing, branding, and content strategy.
Ability to coordinate multiple projects, deadlines, vendors, and stakeholders.
Strong interpersonal, networking, and relationship-management skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Canva, and social media management tools.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced and creative environment.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience in film production, entertainment, advertising, media, public relations, or event management.
Existing relationships with media professionals, influencers, entertainment journalists, and industry contacts.
Basic knowledge of Meta Ads, Google Ads, email marketing, SEO, and analytics.
Experience coordinating film promotions, celebrity communications, press events, or brand collaborations.
Photography, videography, or basic video-editing knowledge will be an advantage.

The ideal candidate should be creative, organised, confident, presentable, and highly responsible. They should have a genuine interest in films, media, entertainment, marketing, and public communication.

The role requires someone who can communicate professionally with artists, technicians, business partners, investors, media representatives, and other stakeholders while maintaining confidentiality and protecting the company’s reputation.
