Job Title: Site Lead – Cold Room & F&V Operations

Location: Kheda(Vavdi), Gujarat/Taloja, Mumbai

Experience: 10–15 Years

Industry: Cold Chain Logistics / Warehousing / Food & Beverage / Fresh Fruits & Vegetables (F&V)

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Site Lead to oversee end-to-end Cold Room and Fresh Fruits & Vegetables (F&V) warehouse operations. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in temperature-controlled warehousing, inventory management, manpower handling, customer coordination, and operational excellence while ensuring compliance with food safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage complete warehouse operations for Cold Room and F&V facilities.

Ensure efficient inbound, put-away, storage, inventory control, picking, dispatch, and outbound operations.

Maintain temperature compliance and product quality as per SOPs.

Monitor adherence to FIFO/FEFO practices to minimize wastage and maximize shelf life.

Drive warehouse productivity, space utilization, and operational efficiency.

Manage blue-collar and white-collar workforce, including rostering, productivity, and performance management.

Coordinate with customers, transporters, vendors, and internal stakeholders for seamless operations.

Ensure inventory accuracy through cycle counts, stock audits, and reconciliation.

Monitor key operational KPIs such as dispatch accuracy, inventory accuracy, order fulfillment, productivity, and turnaround time.

Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, quality, and statutory requirements.

Lead customer audits, internal audits, and corrective/preventive actions.

Control operational costs while maintaining service levels.

Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports and operational dashboards.

Handle customer escalations and implement continuous process improvements.

Coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure uninterrupted operation of refrigeration systems and warehouse infrastructure.

Ensure strict adherence to EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) guidelines and company policies.

Required Skills:

Strong knowledge of Cold Chain and F&V warehouse operations.

Experience in temperature-controlled warehouses (Chiller, Frozen, Ambient).

Expertise in Inventory Management, FIFO/FEFO, and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).

Strong leadership, team management, and stakeholder management skills.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

Proficiency in MS Excel and MIS reporting.

Good communication and customer management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field.

Experience in handling large warehouse operations and managing 100+ manpower.

Exposure to clients in e-commerce, retail, FMCG, or food logistics will be preferred.
