JOB DESCRIPTION :

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT & MARKETING EXECUTIVE

Position: BD & Marketing Executive
Industry: Manufacturing & Packaging
Experience: 5–10 Years
Qualification: Any Degree
Department: Sales & Marketing

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Sales & Marketing professional with 5–10 years of experience in the Manufacturing and Packaging Industry.

The candidate will be responsible for developing new business, generating leads, acquiring new customers, maintaining existing customer relationships, achieving sales targets, conducting market research, and implementing sales and marketing strategies.

The candidate should have strong communication, coordination, negotiation, reporting, and system skills, along with good knowledge of manufacturing industry sales and marketing.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Development:

Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve company targets.
Identify and generate new business opportunities in the manufacturing and packaging sector.
Develop new customers through market research, cold calling, references, networking, customer visits, and other channels.
Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable products and solutions.
Prepare quotations and commercial proposals.
Follow up on enquiries, quotations, negotiations, and purchase orders.
Convert enquiries and leads into confirmed orders.
Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
Conduct regular customer visits and business meetings.
Develop new territories, customer segments, and market opportunities.
Monitor competitor pricing, products, activities, and market trends.

Marketing Responsibilities:

Develop and implement basic marketing plans and strategies.
Conduct market research to identify potential customers and new markets.
Identify market trends and customer requirements.
Develop strategies for customer acquisition and market expansion.
Support exhibitions, trade shows, customer events, and promotional activities.
Maintain customer and prospective customer databases.
Generate and follow up on marketing leads.
Provide regular market feedback to management.
Monitor competitor activities and prepare market analysis.
Support digital and offline marketing activities where required.

Customer Management:

Build and maintain long-term customer relationships.
Regularly communicate with customers regarding enquiries, orders, delivery, and requirements.
Handle customer complaints and coordinate with internal departments for resolution.
Identify opportunities for repeat business and additional sales.
Ensure timely customer follow-up.
Maintain proper records of customer meetings, enquiries, quotations, and orders.

Internal Coordination:

Coordinate with Production, Planning, Quality, Purchase, Dispatch, Accounts, and other departments.
Communicate customer requirements clearly to the concerned departments.
Follow up on production and delivery commitments.
Ensure timely communication of customer requirements and changes.
Coordinate with management regarding important customers and business opportunities.

Technical Skills:

Good knowledge of Manufacturing Industry Sales & Marketing.
Good knowledge of Packaging Industry Sales & Marketing.
Strong understanding of B2B / Industrial Sales.
Basic knowledge of marketing processes and marketing strategies.
Knowledge of lead generation and customer acquisition.
Knowledge of sales pipeline and sales conversion processes.
Knowledge of quotation preparation and commercial negotiation.
Understanding of customer relationship management.
Basic knowledge of market research and competitor analysis.
Ability to understand basic manufacturing processes and product specifications.
Good knowledge of customer follow-up and sales tracking.
Good knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint, and Email.
Good working knowledge of ERP / CRM / Sales Management Systems.
Ability to prepare sales reports and analyze sales data.
Good system and computer knowledge.

Communication & Coordination Skills:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong customer-handling and negotiation skills.
Good coordination with internal departments.
Good follow-up skills.
Good presentation skills.
Ability to communicate customer requirements clearly.
Ability to build professional relationships with customers.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Reporting Responsibilities:

Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports.
Prepare sales target vs. achievement reports.
Maintain enquiry and quotation reports.
Prepare customer visit reports.
Maintain sales pipeline and lead tracking reports.
Prepare market and competitor analysis reports.
Report new business opportunities to management.
Provide regular updates on pending enquiries, quotations, and orders.
Maintain accurate customer and sales records in the ERP/CRM system.

Qualification:

Any Degree from a recognized institution.

Preferred: Candidates with relevant experience in Manufacturing / Packaging Industry Sales & Marketing.

Preferred Candidate Profile:

5–10 years of experience in Sales & Marketing.
Manufacturing / Packaging Industry experience is preferred.
Strong B2B / Industrial Sales experience.
Good knowledge of manufacturing industry marketing.
Good customer relationship management skills.
Strong communication and negotiation ability.
Good reporting and system knowledge.
Target-oriented and result-driven.
Willingness to travel for customer visits and business development.
Proactive approach toward finding new customers and business opportunities.
