Summary: UST is looking for - Middle Office Technical Analyst – Investment Operations
Role Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated Middle Office Technical Analyst to support Investment Operations within the Credit Technology team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of financial markets, investment operations, and technology, enabling them to bridge business requirements with technical solutions. This role involves collaborating with business stakeholders, analysing operational processes, and supporting technology initiatives across the trade lifecycle.
The Opportunity:
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business and technology teams to gather, analyse, and document business requirements.
- Support middle-office investment operations and ensure smooth execution of operational processes.
- Analyze and troubleshoot issues across the trade lifecycle, coordinating with relevant stakeholders for resolution.
- Translate business requirements into functional specifications for technology teams.
- Perform data analysis using SQL to support operational and reporting needs.
- Participate in system testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and production support activities.
- Work closely with development teams throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Prepare process documentation, business requirement documents (BRDs), and operational procedures.
- Engage with clients and internal stakeholders to provide updates, gather feedback, and ensure successful project delivery.
- Contribute to continuous process improvement and operational efficiency initiatives.
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong understanding of the financial services domain across multiple asset classes.
- Basic knowledge of Fund Accounting principles.
- Experience in Middle Office operations with practical knowledge of the trade lifecycle.
- Good understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Strong SQL skills for data analysis and troubleshooting.
- Basic knowledge of Python for scripting and automation.
- Experience in requirements gathering, business analysis, and structured problem-solving.
- Ability to bridge business requirements with technology solutions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong client-facing and stakeholder management abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in investment banking, asset management, or financial services environments.
- Familiarity with investment operations platforms and reporting tools.
- Exposure to Agile delivery methodologies is an added advantage.
