Full job description

Position Title: Accounts Executive, c3IA

Reports to: Lead Accountant, USA

Location: Mumbai, India

Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Executive, with concentration on managing the entire Accounts Receivable process, to join our US-based Finance team. You will be responsible for the entire AR lifecycle, from invoicing and payment processing to collections and dispute resolution.

As you will be supporting our US entity, a successful candidate must possess exceptional English communication skills, a deep understanding of US accounting standards (GAAP), and the flexibility to work hours that overlap with US business time zones (e.g., EST or PST).

Key responsibilities:

Invoicing & Revenue Recognition: Generate and distribute accurate invoices to US clients via ERP systems
Cash Application: Monitor bank feeds to apply incoming ACH, Wire, and Check payments to the correct customer accounts.
Collections Management: Conduct professional follow-ups on overdue accounts via email and phone, maintaining a high level of customer service.
Credit Card Processing: Work with customers to ensure their credit card orders are processed timely and accurately
Deductions & Disputes: Research and resolve payment discrepancies, short-pays, and billing disputes by collaborating with the cross department teams
Credit Applications: Review customer credit references to assist Finance Team in establishing appropriate payment terms
Reporting: Review weekly Aging Reports and provide updates on Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) metrics.
Month-End Closing: Assist in bank reconciliations and ensure all AR-related journal entries are completed for the month-end close.

Required skills:

Strong Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and maintain accurate records
Attention to Detail: Ensuring accuracy in data entry and document processing
Excellent Communication Skills: Effectively interacting with employees at all levels to answer questions and address concerns, regular vendor/supplier communications
Basic knowledge of Indian GST and Income Tax (TDS) Provision.
Confidentiality: Handling sensitive employee information with discretion
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Two to four years of experience in accounting

Preferred educational qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance Business Administration, or a related field
Hands-on experience with accounting software (Tally and QuickBooks).

There is no travel required for this position.

This position will be on-site in our Mumbai, India Office
