About Medhavi Skills University

Medhavi Skills University (MSU) is a government-notified private skills university established under a State Act in Sikkim, dedicated to promoting quality skill education and entrepreneurship integrated with higher education. Role Overview:

The Assistant Controller of Examinations (ACoE) will support the Controller of Examinations in planning, coordinating, and executing all examination-related activities of the University. The role ensures timely, transparent, secure, and compliant conduct of examinations, evaluation, results processing, and certification across academic, skill-based, and industry-integrated programs.

Key Responsibilities:

Examination Planning & Administration

Assist in planning and execution of semester, end-term, mid-term, practical, skill-based, and continuous assessments.
Support preparation of academic calendars, examination schedules, and evaluation timelines.
Coordinate logistics for online, offline, blended, and industry-site assessments.

Conduct of Examinations

Ensure smooth conduct of examinations in compliance with UGC, State Skill University regulations, and University statutes.
Coordinate with academic schools, training partners, and industry assessment centers.
Supervise appointment and coordination of examiners, invigilators, evaluators, and moderators.
Ensure confidentiality, security, and integrity of question papers and evaluation processes.

Evaluation, Results & Certification

Support end-to-end evaluation processes including theory, practical, project, and skill assessments.
Assist in result processing, moderation, tabulation, and timely declaration of results.
Support issuance of mark sheets, grade cards, transcripts, certificates, and degree documents.
Assist in handling revaluation, scrutiny, backlog, and supplementary examinations.

Systems, MIS & Digitization

Support implementation and management of Examination Management Systems (EMS), ERP, and LMS integrations.
Maintain accurate examination data, records, and archives (physical and digital).
Assist in preparation of examination-related MIS reports, dashboards, and statutory data.

Compliance & Governance

Ensure adherence to UGC regulations, NEP 2020, skill-based assessment frameworks, and University ordinances.
Support audits, inspections, and statutory reporting related to examinations.
Assist in formulation and implementation of examination rules, SOPs, and policies.

Grievance Handling & Stakeholder Coordination

Support resolution of examination-related grievances and student queries.
Coordinate with faculty, students, industry partners, training centers, and administrative units.
Ensure transparent communication and timely closure of issues.

Qualifications & Skills Required:

Master’s degree in education, Management, Arts, Science, or a related discipline.
5–8 years of relevant experience in examination administration in a University / Autonomous Institution / Skill University.
Hands-on experience in conducting examinations, evaluation processes, and results management.
Exposure to online/technology-enabled assessments preferred.
