Location: Goregoan West, SV Road, Mumbai (In-Office) Type: Full-time

Fresher to 1 year (B.Com / M.Com)

We're a fast-growing D2C brand across multiple channels. We're scaling aggressively and need someone to bring order to our finances from day one. If you're a commerce graduate who's sharp with numbers, organized by nature, and excited about using AI tools to work faster — this role is built for you.

What You'll Do

TDS Compliance (Monthly/Quarterly)

Calculate and deduct TDS on salaries (Section 192)
Calculate and deduct TDS on freelancer and vendor payments (Section 194J/194C)
Maintain TDS register with challan details
Prepare data for quarterly TDS return filing (Form 26Q, 24Q)
Assist with Form 16/16A issuance annually

GST Data Preparation (Monthly)

Collect and organize all purchase invoices (inward supplies)
Collect and organize all sales data from Shopify, Amazon, Flipkart
Reconcile input tax credit
Prepare clean, sorted, GST-ready data for our CA by the 5th of every month
Track GST compliance calendar — no missed deadlines, ever

Expense Tracking & Software Audit

Maintain a master list of every software subscription across the company — cost, user, renewal date, billing cycle
Flag unused or duplicate subscriptions for cancellation
Track all office expenses — supplies, pantry, internet, utilities, maintenance
Categorize credit card transactions weekly (not monthly) — every charge accounted for and categorized
Produce a monthly expense report broken down by category

Invoice & Vendor Management

Create and send invoices to B2B clients or partners when needed
Track receivables — who owes money, follow up on pending payments
Process and record vendor invoices — supplier payments, 3PL invoices, platform charges
Maintain digital invoice filing system — organized by month and vendor

Bank & Cash Reconciliation

Reconcile bank statements monthly — every transaction matched and accounted for
Maintain petty cash register for daily office expenses
Reconcile ad platform charges (Meta, Google) against credit card statements
Flag any discrepancies immediately

Record Keeping & Data Room

Maintain all financial documents in an organized Google Drive structure — month-wise folders
Subfolders for: invoices, bank statements, payroll records, GST data, TDS records, expense reports
Prepare a monthly P&L summary — revenue by channel, expenses by category, net profit
Keep the compliance calendar updated — every filing deadline tracked with reminders

Payroll & Attendance (Monthly)

Maintain daily attendance tracker across the team — late marks, leaves, half days
Calculate monthly salary deductions — late penalties, advance recoveries, loss of pay
Maintain a clean payroll register — month-wise, person-wise

Employee Reimbursements

Process travel, phone, and other expense reimbursements
Verify receipts and documentation before processing
Maintain reimbursement register

What We're Looking For

Must Have:

B.Com or M.Com degree (completed or final year)
Strong knowledge of Tally ERP / Tally Prime
Proficiency in Excel / Google Sheets — formulas, pivot tables, data organization
Basic understanding of GST, TDS, and Indian tax compliance
Sharp attention to detail — one wrong entry in TDS or GST creates legal problems
Available to work full-time from our Mumbai office

Good to Have:

Experience with Zoho Books, QuickBooks, or any cloud accounting software
Familiarity with AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini) for data sorting and analysis
Internship or experience at a CA firm
Exposure to e-commerce accounting — marketplace payouts, payment gateway reconciliation
Knowledge of PF/ESI calculations

You're naturally organized. Your phone folders are sorted, your notes are structured, you hate messy data.
You're consistent. Accounting isn't glamorous — it's about doing the same things right, every single day, without getting sloppy.
You're proactive. If you see a vendor invoice sitting unpaid for 15 days, you don't wait for someone to ask — you flag it.
You're willing to learn. We use AI tools extensively in our company. If you haven't used them before, that's fine — but you should be excited to learn, not resistant.
You take ownership. This is not a "data entry" job. You'll own the entire financial hygiene of a rapidly growing company. That's real responsibility.
