Job Title: Product Manager / Senior Product Manager

Location: Chembur East, Mumbai
Experience: 3–10 Years
Qualification: B.Pharm / M.Pharm / MBA Marketing / Graduate or Postgraduate in Marketing or Life Sciences
Industry: Pharmaceuticals
Working Days: Monday to Saturday, 2nd & 4th Saturday Off
Working Hours: 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly motivated Product Manager / Senior Product Manager to manage and grow assigned pharmaceutical brands. The role involves developing and executing strategic marketing plans, driving brand performance and profitability, managing promotional campaigns, supporting product launches, and collaborating with sales, training, medical affairs, vendors, and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Product & Brand Management

Manage and grow assigned pharmaceutical brands with focus on revenue, market share, and profitability.
Develop and implement innovative marketing strategies to strengthen brand performance.
Define product positioning and develop effective brand strategies.
Analyze market trends, competition, customer insights, and business data for marketing decisions.
Monitor secondary sales and modify marketing strategies based on market performance.
Conduct regular brand performance reviews with key stakeholders.

Marketing & Promotional Activities

Plan and execute promotional campaigns for assigned products.
Develop visual aids, digital content, promotional literature, and other brand collaterals.
Manage KOL engagement and stakeholder interactions.
Coordinate with vendors and agencies for campaigns, events, and media execution.
Represent assigned brands at CMEs, conferences, exhibitions, and other industry events.
Contribute to loyalty programs, merchandising, and channel strategies.

Product Launches & Market Development

Support new product launches and develop appropriate marketing strategies.
Identify market development opportunities and recommend growth initiatives.
Monitor product lifecycle and identify opportunities to improve brand performance.
Support digital marketing initiatives for assigned brands.

Sales & Field Force Support

Work closely with sales teams to provide marketing support and product training.
Develop marketing inputs and communication materials for field teams.
Analyze sales performance and provide actionable marketing recommendations.
Collaborate with training and medical affairs teams to strengthen product communication.

Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Coordination

Build and maintain strong relationships with doctors, KOLs, partners, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
Coordinate with sales, training, medical affairs, and other cross-functional teams.
Manage multiple marketing initiatives and ensure timely execution.
Present brand performance, marketing plans, and recommendations to senior stakeholders.

Required Skills & Competencies

Strong understanding of pharmaceutical product and brand management.
Knowledge of the pharmaceutical product lifecycle.
Strong strategic thinking and creative problem-solving abilities.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong presentation and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver within tight deadlines.
Strong analytical and execution capabilities with an ROI-focused approach.
Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and data interpretation.
Experience in product launches, digital marketing, and market development.

Desired Candidate Profile

Educational Qualification

Graduate or Postgraduate in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Marketing, or a related field.
B.Pharm / M.Pharm / MBA – Marketing will be preferred.

Experience

Minimum 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical marketing.
Overall 5–10 years of experience in pharmaceutical brand/product management.
Strong experience in campaign management, product strategy, and stakeholder engagement.
Exposure to product launches, CME participation, and field force support will be an advantage.

Language Skills

Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken.
Working knowledge of Hindi will be an advantage.

Travel Requirements

Minimal travel as per business requirements, including doctor meetings, conferences, CMEs, exhibitions, and industry events.

Must Have

Minimum 5 years of pharmaceutical marketing or brand/product management experience, with strong expertise in brand strategy, campaign execution, market analysis, product positioning, sales support, and stakeholder management, along with B.Pharm, M.Pharm, MBA Marketing, or a relevant graduate/postgraduate qualification.

Nice to Have

Experience in pharmaceutical product launches, CME participation, KOL engagement, digital marketing, field force training/support, market development, loyalty programs, merchandising, and strong proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
