We're Hiring | Operations Executive (For a Client)

Location: Mumbai – On-site (Candidates based in or around West Mumbai preferred)

Experience: 1–3 Years

Compensation: ₹5–6 LPA

About the Company

RemDesk is hiring on behalf of a fast-growing international D2C wellness and lifestyle company that sells premium wellness and lifestyle products to customers across the United States and other global markets.

The company is rapidly expanding its portfolio, with multiple consumer brands under development, and entering an exciting phase of growth. Backed by an ambitious leadership team, it offers the opportunity to work directly with the Founder on high-impact initiatives.

Role Overview

We are looking for a highly driven and hands-on Operations Executive to support and build the company's end-to-end operational processes across warehouse, fulfilment, inventory, logistics, vendors, and day-to-day business operations.

This is not a routine operations role. We are looking for someone who has worked in a startup environment and has experience building processes from scratch, taking ownership of execution, and solving operational challenges independently.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in an evolving environment where processes may not always be defined and will have the ability to create structure, implement SOPs, coordinate with multiple stakeholders, and continuously improve operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Warehouse & Fulfilment Operations

Coordinate day-to-day warehouse operations including receiving, storage, picking, packing, dispatch, and order fulfilment.
Ensure orders are processed accurately and within defined timelines.
Help develop and implement SOPs for warehouse and fulfilment activities.
Monitor warehouse productivity, order accuracy, and operational efficiency.
Coordinate with warehouse teams to ensure smooth daily operations.
Identify operational bottlenecks and recommend practical solutions.
Support the implementation of processes as the business scales.

Logistics & Vendor Management

Coordinate with courier companies, logistics partners, 3PL providers, and other operational vendors.
Track shipments, delivery timelines, delays, damages, and Return-to-Origin (RTO) cases.
Follow up with logistics partners to resolve operational issues.
Assist in evaluating and onboarding new vendors and service providers.
Maintain strong relationships with operational partners.
Support negotiations and cost optimisation initiatives wherever required.

Inventory Management

Monitor inventory levels across SKUs and ensure accurate inventory records.
Coordinate stock movement between warehouse and other operational locations.
Track stock-outs, excess inventory, ageing inventory, and discrepancies.
Assist with regular inventory audits and reconciliation.
Maintain accurate operational records and reports.
Coordinate with relevant teams to ensure timely replenishment.

Process Building & Improvement

Build and document operational processes from scratch wherever required.
Create and maintain SOPs, checklists, trackers, and process documentation.
Identify inefficiencies and implement solutions to improve productivity.
Help automate repetitive operational processes using available tools and technology.
Create operational dashboards and reports to track key metrics.
Continuously look for ways to reduce costs and improve turnaround time.

Returns & Customer Experience

Coordinate returns, exchanges, reverse logistics, and RTO-related operations.
Track recurring issues and identify ways to reduce return and failure rates.
Coordinate with Customer Support to resolve fulfilment-related issues.
Ensure returned inventory is properly recorded and processed.
Monitor customer-impacting operational issues and ensure timely resolution.

Cross-Functional Coordination

Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Customer Support, Finance, and other teams.
Coordinate operational requirements for new product launches and campaigns.
Ensure operational readiness for business initiatives and increased order volumes.
Provide regular updates on operational performance and challenges.

What Success Looks Like

First 30 Days

Understand the existing operational processes and identify key gaps.
Build strong relationships with warehouse, logistics, and vendor partners.
Take ownership of day-to-day operational activities.
Identify immediate opportunities for process improvement.

First 60 Days

Implement and document key SOPs and operational workflows.
Improve coordination between warehouse, logistics, inventory, and internal teams.
Establish reliable trackers and reporting mechanisms.
Help reduce operational bottlenecks and turnaround times.

First 90 Days

Build scalable operational processes that can support business growth.
Improve fulfilment and logistics efficiency.
Reduce recurring operational issues and errors.
Establish structured systems for inventory, vendors, and daily operations.

What We're Looking For

We are specifically looking for someone who:

Has worked in a startup or high-growth environment.
Has experience building processes from scratch, rather than only following established processes.
Is highly hands-on and comfortable taking ownership of execution.
Can work independently in an ambiguous and fast-changing environment.
Is proactive and capable of identifying problems before they become larger issues.
Has strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Is highly organised and detail-oriented.
Has excellent follow-up and stakeholder management skills.
Is comfortable working directly with founders and senior leadership.
Has a strong bias towards action and execution.

Required Experience

1–3 years of experience in Operations, Supply Chain, Warehouse, Fulfilment, Logistics, or E-commerce Operations.
Prior experience working with a startup or high-growth company is mandatory.
Demonstrated experience in building or improving operational processes from scratch.
Experience coordinating with warehouse, logistics, courier, or 3PL partners.
Experience with inventory management and fulfilment operations.
Candidates from D2C, E-commerce, Retail, FMCG, Consumer Goods, or Lifestyle businesses will be preferred.

Preferred Technical Skills

Experience with some of the following will be preferred:

Shopify
UniCommerce
Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
Courier Aggregators
Inventory Management Platforms
Excel / Google Sheets
Operational Dashboards & Reporting Tools

Knowledge of logistics providers such as:

Delhivery
Shiprocket
XpressBees
Blue Dart
DTDC
Ecom Express

will be an advantage.

Preferred Candidate Profile

Candidates will be strongly preferred if they:

Have worked at an early-stage or high-growth startup.
Have personally built operational processes, SOPs, or systems from the ground up.
Have worked in a D2C, E-commerce, FMCG, Consumer Goods, Lifestyle, or Retail company.
Have experience managing multiple operational functions simultaneously.
Have worked closely with founders or leadership teams.
Have experience handling high-growth or rapidly changing operational environments.
Are based in or around West Mumbai and can comfortably commute to the workplace.
