Full job description

Oversee the day-to-day operations of the entire hotel.
Ensure all departments operate smoothly and efficiently.
Coordinate closely with all Heads of Departments (HODs).
Ensure hotel standards, SOPs and service procedures are consistently followed.
Conduct regular property inspections of guest rooms, public areas and back-of-house areas.
Ensure the hotel is always operationally ready to receive guests.
Monitor check-in, check-out, room allocation and guest service procedures.
Ensure excellent guest service from arrival to departure.
Handle VIP arrivals, group arrivals and special guest requirements.
Personally handle escalated guest complaints and service recovery.
Monitor guest feedback, online reviews and guest satisfaction.
Ensure accurate billing, cash handling and proper front-office controls.
Supervise the overall operation of restaurants, bars, banquet operations and room service.
Ensure food and beverage service standards are maintained.
Coordinate with Executive Chef and F&B Manager for smooth operations.
Monitor restaurant and bar service quality, cleanliness and guest satisfaction.
Ensure proper opening and closing procedures for all outlets.
Monitor food, beverage and operational costs.
Ensure responsible and professional bar operations.
Monitor liquor inventory, stock movement and beverage controls.
Ensure proper billing, POS procedures and cash controls.
Ensure bar staff follow approved SOPs and responsible-service procedures.
Coordinate with management regarding licensing and statutory compliance.
Monitor bar sales, wastage, breakage and beverage costs.
Ensure proper security and control of liquor storage areas.
Coordinate with the Executive Housekeeper to maintain room and public-area standards.
Monitor room cleanliness, room readiness and turnaround time.
Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and public areas.
Ensure adequate linen, amenities and housekeeping supplies.
Follow up on guest complaints related to cleanliness and maintenance.
Coordinate with Engineering/Maintenance for preventive and breakdown maintenance.
Ensure guest rooms and public areas are maintained in excellent condition.
Follow up on pending maintenance complaints.
Monitor preventive maintenance schedules.
Ensure uninterrupted operation of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, lifts, kitchen equipment and other hotel systems.
Ensure implementation of hotel security and emergency procedures.
Conduct regular safety and security inspections.
Coordinate with Security and Engineering during emergencies.
Ensure fire safety equipment and emergency exits are properly maintained.
Conduct regular fire and safety drills as required.
Ensure compliance with health, safety and statutory requirements.
Supervise department heads and operational teams.
Conduct daily operational briefings and regular HOD meetings.
Monitor staff attendance, grooming, discipline and productivity.
Identify training requirements and coordinate staff training.
Motivate employees and maintain good staff morale.
Handle operational performance issues in coordination with HR.
Monitor departmental expenses and operational costs.
Control food, beverage, liquor, linen, amenities and other inventories.
Review daily revenue and operational reports.
Monitor labour costs and staffing efficiency.
Identify areas for cost saving without compromising guest service.
Support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning.
Monitor key hotel performance indicators such as occupancy, ADR, RevPAR and departmental profitability.
Coordinate with Sales & Marketing to maximise hotel revenue.
Support upselling of rooms, restaurants, bars, banquets and other facilities.
Monitor occupancy, room rates and business levels.
Assist in developing strategies to increase revenue.
Ensure effective coordination between Sales, Reservations and Operations.
Oversee the operational execution of weddings, conferences, meetings and other functions.
Ensure proper coordination between Banquets, F&B, Kitchen, Housekeeping, Engineering and Security.
Inspect function halls before and during events.
Ensure guest requirements and event specifications are properly delivered.
Handle operational issues during major functions.
Maintain 4-star service and presentation standards throughout the property.
Conduct regular quality inspections.
Monitor guest feedback and identify recurring service problems.
Implement corrective and preventive actions.
Ensure all departments maintain proper SOPs and operational checklists.
Conduct daily operations meetings with HODs.
Coordinate Front Office with Housekeeping for room readiness.
Coordinate F&B with Kitchen and Banquets.
Coordinate Engineering with all operational departments.
Coordinate Security for VIPs, events and emergency situations.
Ensure effective communication between all departments.
Take immediate ownership of serious guest complaints.
Investigate the root cause of complaints.
Provide appropriate service recovery within approved authority.
Follow up with guests to ensure satisfaction.
Maintain records of major complaints and corrective actions.
Review daily operational reports.
Monitor occupancy, revenue, guest feedback and departmental performance.
Review incident reports and maintenance reports.
Submit operational updates to the General Manager/Management.
Maintain proper records of major operational issues and action taken.
Support the General Manager in all operational matters.
Take charge of hotel operations during the GM's absence, when authorised.
Represent management during operational meetings and important events.
Ensure continuity of hotel operations and guest service.
Guest satisfaction and online review scores
Room occupancy and RevPAR
ADR and overall revenue performance
F&B and bar revenue
