About the Role
We are a growing managed services provider and technology reseller delivering managed IT services, technical support, cloud solutions, cybersecurity services, software licensing, technology projects, and compliance support.
We are hiring a Business Operations and Compliance Specialist to support the Chief Operating Officer in managing internal operations, maintaining business processes, coordinating compliance activities, and improving accountability across departments.
This is a permanent business operations role. It is not a temporary project management position.
The successful candidate will work across Finance, HR, Sales, Service Delivery, Technical Support, and leadership to ensure operational tasks are documented, assigned, completed, and reported accurately.
Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Operations
- Support the COO in managing company-wide operational processes
- Maintain operational workflows, checklists, procedures, and internal controls
- Coordinate activities between Finance, HR, Sales, Service Delivery, and Technical teams
- Track deadlines, assigned owners, dependencies, risks, and overdue items
- Follow up with department leaders and employees on incomplete operational tasks
- Identify process gaps, duplicated responsibilities, and workflow issues
- Recommend practical process improvements
- Maintain records of operational decisions, approvals, and action items
- Support recurring operations meetings and document follow-up actions
- Escalate major delays, risks, or compliance concerns to the COO
Client Onboarding and Offboarding
- Maintain the client onboarding and offboarding workflow
- Coordinate tasks across Sales, Finance, Service Delivery, and Technical teams
- Track completion of contracts, billing setup, technical requirements, documentation, and approvals
- Support structured handoffs between Sales, Projects, and Managed Services
- Monitor onboarding timelines and report delays
- Confirm required client documentation is complete and stored correctly
Technical teams will remain responsible for technical implementation and support activities.
Employee Onboarding and Offboarding
- Coordinate employee onboarding and offboarding checklists
- Track responsibilities assigned to HR, IT, Finance, and department managers
- Confirm that equipment, system access, documentation, training, and approvals are completed
- Follow up on missing or delayed tasks
- Maintain accurate onboarding and offboarding records
HR will continue to own recruiting, employment agreements, employee relations, payroll coordination, personnel records, and employment compliance.
Policies, SOPs, and Documentation
- Maintain the company’s policy, procedure, SOP, and how-to guide register
- Track document owners, approval status, review dates, and completion deadlines
- Work with department leaders to identify missing or outdated documentation
- Maintain approved templates, formatting standards, and version control
- Confirm approved documents are stored in the correct location
- Coordinate scheduled policy and procedure reviews
- Report overdue or incomplete documentation to the COO
Department leaders will remain responsible for writing and approving the content related to their functions.
SOC 2 and Compliance Support
- Support the company’s SOC 2 readiness and ongoing compliance activities
- Maintain control trackers, evidence registers, compliance calendars, and remediation lists
- Coordinate evidence collection across Finance, HR, IT, Security, Sales, and Operations
- Follow up with control owners on outstanding tasks and evidence
- Organize policies, reports, screenshots, approvals, and supporting records
- Support meetings with external compliance consultants and auditors
- Track compliance gaps and remediation activities
- Escalate overdue controls or significant risks to the COO
- Help integrate compliance requirements into daily business operations
- Support other compliance frameworks as the company grows
This role does not serve as the company’s auditor or technical security engineer.
Operational Reporting
- Prepare weekly and monthly operations reports
- Maintain dashboards for operational tasks, compliance progress, onboarding, documentation, and internal initiatives
- Report risks, blockers, overdue actions, and recurring issues
- Maintain accurate records of assigned owners and completion dates
- Support the COO with data required for leadership reviews
- Help develop measurable operational KPIs
Vendor and Asset Records
- Maintain vendor operational records, agreements, reviews, and assigned owners
- Support vendor onboarding documentation and review activities
- Coordinate asset tracking with Finance and Technical teams
- Maintain records of company equipment and assigned assets
- Support periodic asset and vendor reviews
Finance will continue to own purchasing, purchase orders, budgets, payments, and financial approvals.
Required Qualifications
- 3 to 5 years of experience in business operations, compliance operations, technology operations, PMO support, internal controls, or a related position
- Experience working in a technology company, IT services provider, managed services provider, SaaS company, cybersecurity company, or consulting environment
- Experience coordinating activities across multiple departments
- Understanding of business processes, operational controls, and process documentation
- Familiarity with SOC 2, ISO 27001, audit readiness, information security compliance, or similar frameworks
- Strong documentation, reporting, and organizational skills
- Ability to professionally follow up with task owners and escalate delays
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365, including Excel, Word, Teams, Outlook, and SharePoint
- Willingness to transition to a hybrid or office-based arrangement in 2027
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working for an MSP or technology reseller
- Experience supporting a SOC 2 or ISO 27001 implementation
- Experience with Zoho One, Zoho Projects, Jira, Asana, Monday.com, or similar platforms
- Familiarity with managed IT services, cloud services, cybersecurity, licensing, and technical projects
- Experience maintaining policies, SOPs, audit evidence, or internal control documentation
- ITIL, project management, ISO 27001, compliance, or audit-related training
- Experience working with international or distributed teams
Work Arrangement
This position is currently remote within India.
The company expects to transition to a hybrid or office-based work environment in 2027. The selected candidate must be willing and able to report to the future office location when required.
The office location, schedule, and transition timeline will be communicated in advance.

- Accounting, bookkeeping, payments, payroll, or purchase order issuance
- Recruiting decisions, employee relations, or HR investigations
- Technical engineering, help desk support, or system administration
- Sales quotas or client account management
- Executive operational decisions
- Writing every department policy or procedure
The Business Operations and Compliance Specialist supports the COO by maintaining processes, coordinating work, tracking completion, preparing reports, and escalating operational risks.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, process-oriented, and comfortable working across several departments.
You should be able to take an informal process, document it clearly, track responsibilities, follow up with assigned owners, and provide accurate updates to leadership.
You should also be comfortable supporting compliance requirements without treating the role as only a short-term audit project.
